May I suggest this - Cammando Exfil eg- the vertibird will hover and you press a button that takes you to the cargo ramp and you can rope down from there and climb back up
and
- enemy choppers that will pop up when triggered and you can have a epic dogfight with them

id say the most thing people want would be a room for companions (cause u die when flying if they get a cinematic kill) and a room for storage so basically we want interior rooms.

Features: 1) A horizon line. Even if it's just a small meter near the altimeter.<br><br>2) Marker display on the compass since I have yet to figure out how to access the Pipboy while flying.<br><br>3) A return to ground button for the elevators, since I landed the chopper back on the pad of origin and fell off when I got out because the back of the bird was hanging off the end of the pad.<br><br>4) A method of seeing the ground, even if it's simply removing the lower console so I can free look down at the ground.<br><br>5) A range finder might be nice because the 70mm rounds have some drop off, so having the ability to see how far away I'm shooting would be very handy.<br><br>Weapon ideas:<br><br>If you do the method of seeing the ground, bombs might be viable.<br><br>If you finish the missiles, being able to use the guns to tag a location for a missile hit would be awesome. Better still would be both precision strike of a single missile and carpet bomb for large areas. Say a precision strike for taking out the Deathclaw Mother in Quarry Junction, while you could have missiles carpet the Fiend encampments near McCarran. Take revenge on Cook-Cook the awesome way.<br><br>Another option would be an Incinerator. A nice alternative to the 20mm minigun.<br>

#1 It's 'Commando', and what you're referring to is fast-roping. Also, an exfiltration is an escape/retreat not a fast entry.Cammando Exfil eg- the vertibird will hover and you press a button that takes you to the cargo ramp and you can rope down from there and climb back up
#2 Vertibirds don't have cargo ramps. The access points are hatches on the sides behind the landing gear, they were designed to deploy enclave shock troops in full power armour, which aren't exactly designed to be dropped 18 feet with nought but a rope to grip on to slow their descent.
#3 The animation and scripting required would be impractical. Besides, what's flying the vertibird while you're gone? Don't tell me you wouldn't find it jarring to have a vertibid sat there hovering for days on end. Or worse, have it crash and explode after you let go of the controls...

If you want it, go do it. Not hard to blob desert tan all over all the details. Seriously, just get GIMP and copy/paste a google image result for a piece of marpat over the texture.edit-how bout some marpat desert camo?

1 swap-able weapons
2 customization (color primarily) to add things like cloak, radar, bed (like the bed of a truck) and mabey some internals (so it can be like a mobile home)
3 companion friendly (they keep crashing into virtabird when they tp to me
4 garage- at nellis afb maybe on top of one of those buildings or a new one in unused space with an open top(place for comment 2 about customization)
5 hover mode- so you can get off and on without landing and shoot gun like a turret (fixing the guns blind spot under it)
6 remote have something that makes the bird fly to you if you lose it
7 drifting - because of a slight drifting when leaving a flight it makes landing it harder htan it needs to be make a button like 0 to stableize the thing when no boost is applies this will make landing waaay easier

@Lt Albrecht: Precisely what I had in mind. Also useful for bringing the bird to a stop so you can change direction without the unpleasant drifting.
Additional Feature Idea: Built in music playing Ride of the Valkyries. With an on/off switch naturally, but it's almost required to have the option to play it as you murder your way through a group of enemies.
