Honestly?

What I want to know, is how some people are so illiterate in the history of this planet. People are posting on Twitter, that they just now learned the Titanic was in fact, a real ship and not just a Hollywood creation.

LOl that's just sad, i knew that when i was youngster, especially watching those documentaries on how she sank, although it was flawed back then.

I remember back when leaving the cinema after watching the movie a mid-40 woman saying to her husband: "I wouldn't have thought that the ship would sink in the end!" XD

so it's not only "today's youth"!

How could you not know the Titanic was real? I know this happened when the film was released the first time (in 2D, no less ) but still.

To which 2D film are you refering? The first film about the sinking of the Titanic was released in 1912, twenty-nine days after the event. Since then there have been numerous other films recounting the sinking.
