So... It seems enabling ENB disables Skyrim's default blurry DoF... Is there any way to enable that again? Because it's a bit bothersome to see stuff far away as sharp as if it were right next to you, kinda ruins landscapes D:

Any ideas?

Hi,
I have a problem with the grass. I've been searching a lot about my problem with this ENB (great enb btw), I guess it's the grass shadow problem. Not sure since I dont know what the grass shadow problem looks like exactly.

Any way, when I move I get like "roots" all over the grass. Cant take screen because as soon as I stop it's almost invisible. Followed the troubleshooting post and it's still there. I did have an other ENB before but deleted it completly.

I saw in the trouble shooting that you were saying no fix available for the shadow grass, but on main page you say it works.

I also noticed that the .jar patcher stays on "creating patch" screen. Been living it run for a while now, I guess it's not normal.

Thanks for reading.

CTD on startup, without fail, can be brought up by demand almost lolz.

I followed all the installation instructions, even the instructions on the last page of this comment thread.

I know for a fact that this ENB mod is the cause, when I remove it from the folder, the game works just fine. A shame because this mod looks very well done and took a heck of a lot of hard work and time. I used BOSS and Wyre Bash and no conflicts were found with my mod order. I use SKSE.

There seems to be no support on here, but I'm going to keep trying anyway. I reinstalled Skyrim again and put this ENB in there fresh with no other mods except the required WATER mod. Still CTD every single time I start the game from the launcher.

My Computer is:
i7 3.4GHz Quad core
AMD 6970m 2GB
16 GB DDR RAM

I'm fairly sure my computer can handle this mod. It's a, seemingly, easy mod to install. This doesn't make sense.

@SlashRaid :

1st : apologize man ! We're only three people answering on these threads with our own lives and personnal timings and time zones... Anyway, first time I come back to Troubleshooting section since long... I suggest you post on main thread next time if you see noone's answering.

Well, yep, your specs are OK.
Did you follow the clean install process ? Here it goes :

_______________________________________________________

FRESH INSTALL PROCESS ENB

Please verify you're not using another version of ENB
If you were using one in the past, remove all remaining files from Skyrim main folder
Drag the ENB files provided with the mod in Skyrim main data folder
Go to MyDocuments/Mygames/Skyrim
Verify that "bFloatPointRenderTarget=1" and sD3DDevice="ENB" are correctly set in SkyrimPrefs.ini
If not, modify these lines exactly as above
Take your two inis (Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini), and put them on your desktop for backup (Anyway, always have your inis backuped somewhere)
Delete rendererinfo.txt
Go to Skyrim main folder and launch TESV.exe
It will recognize your render device, must be "ENB", and create two default inis in MyDocuments/MyGames/Skyrim
Don't launch the game, quit the launcher
Go to MyDocuments/MyGames/Skyrim and delete the two default inis
Take back the Inis you backed up from your desktop, and put them in MyDocuments/MyGames/Skyrim
You're ready to go !

_________________________________________________________

FRESH INSTALL PROCESS REALISTIC LIGHTING

Take the 4 Realistic Lighting files provided with the mod and put them in Skyrim/Data folder
Please verify that your computer recognizes the realisticlightingpatcher and is java updated in order to launch it
Run the patcher once
Verify that "realisticlighting.esp" and "realisticlightingpatcher.esp" are checked in your Skyrim default launcher / NMM / BOSS / Wrye bash
Verify that they are at the BOTTOM of your load order and that the patcher is loaded AFTER the main esp.
If you're using other mods that alters light / weather / fog, please remove it, as RL does the same, but better
You're ready to go !

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT : PLEASE READ
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you enter the game, immediatly enter an interior cell : home, inn
Wait 2 full days
Make a new save, DON'T OVERWRITE, USE A FRESH SLOT
Quit the game
Load the save you've just done.
Play !

Then, a few questions :

Are u using anisotropic filtering from your GPU ? If yes, don't. Disable it or set it to 0. I'm Nvidia user, so forgive me if I don't stick to ATI process, wich I don't really know.

Did you disable vsync from GPU ? IF yes, re-enable it.
Are u using FPSlimiter from enbseries.ini ? If yes, set it to false : EnableFPSLimit = false

What are your AA and transparency AA settings ?

Are u using 3rd party tools as EVGA precision, MSI Afterburner ?

Is there another dll file in your Skyrim main folder than d3d9.dll from ENB ?

Well, if you can't solve it please PM me your 2 game inis.

@SIRENA :

SSAO is Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
Shortly said, it adds shadows and depth to all zones of the game. Mean you got more relief to any actor, objects, everything
Subtle at first sight, but get used to it, then disable it.
Then you'll notice a real difference. Yes, it's performance taxing, however it has to be tweaked depending on your screen resolution.

@Siti :
sad, but there's currently no fix for grass shadow bugs.
Only two people can do something about it : Bethesda and Boris Vorontsov (ENB creator). Boris is currently working on it. For Beth, I don't know... :-)))

@MethosTR :
plz refer to what I wrote to SlashRaid above 1st.
Then, plz PM me your mod list and order, don't trust BOSS for it, NEVER trust BOSS for it.
Scan your Skyrim folder for other dlls
Be sure you're not using other party tools
SKSE is no problem, I use it too.

@CJZera :
ENB does not disable Skyrim default DOF (mean fog on LOD).
Realistic lighting, however, "pushes" fog away, so you got this impression.
Are u using Revamped Exterior fog ?

@Ghazi364 :
did you keep FPSLimiter from enseries.ini enabled ?
If yes, set it to false.

@SpideyKnight :
I think it's related to a mod, as it only affects Riften.
Other possibility, go there :
http://skyrim.nexusm...ile.php?id=7654
Download 3.4a version manual install
Take the Realisticlighting.esp of the main default file.
Replace your original rl.esp (the one you get with this mod) by the 3.4a esp.
Then download RiftenFixTwo.esp, and do the same thing.
Run the patcher.
Have a try

@TheMack77 :
only wood ? You mean not the torches, candles, only wood in fireplaces or campfires ?

@all :
for better support, please, from now, tell me wich version of Skyrim you are currently running first.

@Kyokushinoyama Thanks for getting back to me. At class now so I'll try when I get home. Good suggestions, glad to see new info come to the light. Sorry for seeming rude, I was just trying to stir somebody into a response.

Still not working. What do my AA and transparency settings need to be? I've done everything else that you've said to do and in my skyrim ini uGridsToLoad is on 7 with cell buffering at 64
