bah and another one falls for the WoW... that sword wouldnt look good... nagnagnag trolltroll... at least stretch the blade, make it thinner and the handle thicker... also make it 2 handed... for a 1h sword you wouldnt find a scabbard it fits in with all those spikes... xcept maybe some ropes only but then youd stick em in your bum everytime you jump i guess

easy up mate i will say not everyone likes WoW but its just your view on the sword mate nothing more but your ideas and upsetting...remarks are noted

I dont think it needs a sheath, and i want it one handed... it looks better one handed then 2 handed

as to scabbard... as i said youll end up stickicng the blade and the spikes in your tummy, bum and calfs if you dont have a scabbard... but dunno maybe its possible to make it one handed yet place it on the backweaponnode so it will be carried on the back... youd need to be tougher than any orc alive tho to use it as wide as it is... ever tried fighting swordstyle with a shovel?

it would be more like a gaint sharp mace or war hammer, so it should weigh a great deal.

Swordstyle with a shovel? mate you lost the plot but Jaysus does have a point love spikes up ye bum and tummy wouldnt be nice eh?

Ok everyone good evening,

I hereby present you the progress on the blade (the introduction sounds formal )

Ok so I modelled on it a bit...just a small part of the skull remaining. Then the texturing. What you will see in the picture is the model using the reference photo as a texture.

So tell me what you think of it (NOTE!!! I told you all I am a beginner modeller so not need to be harsh on me )

Also when I finish it the skull won't be so big anymore...I will scale it corectly.

i just hope max lets you put the pieces together in the end lol... sometimes the results become freaky... thus i personally (not that everyone should do that) build models out of one piece usually...
maybe if you find the time use a meshsmooth (also good to see where your mesh has holes or "double" polygons) or do it by hand (cut polygon, chamfer edge) so that the sharp edges at the spikes for example get eradicated.
would be cool if you make a glowmap too in the end so that the blue glows... and maybe a lil blue flame effect

as to scabbard... well the daedric swords dont have one neither... just two shackles or somin to hold it in place... not the safest way tho lol...
anyway im trying to get one hand weapons on the back atm... this might be useful for that particular sword too

JaySuS I don't use max I use Blender . The sword will work after I am done I think I will join the meshes together and it should work.
