Update: Bethesda has announced that the first DLC is in fact named Dawnguard ("known" for some time) and that more information will be revealed at E3. Dawnguard and the second DLC will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 for 30 days.

Bethesda forum user Raestloz seems to have found evidence of the upcoming first Skyrim DLC. While looking through the 1.5.26 patch files, he found a number of additions explicitly named with "DLC01." Another user, Karellan, has listed out the individual files:

Snow Elves have been mentioned in earlier games (in Morrowind's Bloodmoon expansion, for example) and are now known to be the Falmer. The book Fall of the Snow Prince also has some information that may be relevant.

Meanwhile, Pete Hines recently tweeted that additional Skyrim DLC info might come "next week" (maybe). Let the speculation begin.

Thanks, Galahaut. Bethesda seems to be pleasing fans even more. Crossbows, Snow Elf Princes, (Remember the Bloodmoon quest, as Galahaut stated, hopefully a SKyrim version of the armor too.) patches even for the PC players such as the Navmesh bug they are trying to fix, and most likely Spears too. We would not get this from EA at all. I wonder what RF means though, as well.

This one sounds interesting. I might actually buy this one in a somewhat timely fashion instead of waiting a century like I did with Shivering Isles for Oblivion.

I wonder if the "F" in RF refers to follower. It seems the adjectives listed could be used to dictate your follower's disposition

Doesnt this mean essentially we can all see these files for ourselves? If one fan can, we all can, we all got the CK :P

The crossbow part could be part of a new attack for the dwemer Centurians, since they actually have crossbows attached to their arms. Sure, it probably has something to do with player held crossbows but this is a possibility.

The snow elf prince part is probably a single NPC as part of a yet to be mentioned quest. A new race would also be nice but it has probably already been added with modded content.

The RF line looks like a character or companion set of animations for a particular NPC or for general NPC interactions. It could also have something to do with combat animations.

These are just personal opinion. Still exciting in any case^^.

Now if only we can get those spear animations......

I do remember in Fallout 3 and I think NV the two letter abbreviation stood for the DLC name. BS, PL, or something. Maybe Dawnguard is the DLC02 and we missed the first one. I am not sure but for now we can just assume. So RF might be the DLC abbreviation. I might be wrong, but I am just guessing anyways.

@Natterforme
Those files don't seem to match a Dwemer Centurion Archer, moreover a player character it does. Yeah it would not have the 1stP part unless you can play as the Centurion. The Dwemer centurions look similar in a way but you can see differences that would not make sense if they were actually the centurions, as they are missing stuff, the stuff that are under the races and such you can play as. Look in the Animations BSA and you will see what I am talking about.

We could definitely use more races, though. They seem to be a lot harder to make this time. It was easy in TESCS if you had the resources. Only thing now I noticed is the Morph File for making a race, and color, and more of course. And I am still unsure how to use those.
