Zombies from the Sky: Fifty-Five

Was One 22.1[23]{30}

Two 11.1[11]{54}

The three BISSA ships reached the great ancient artefact, of a tower, that rose so massively out of the ocean. They saw its tip, over the horizon, long before they reached it. The two airships were there, floating above the tower's top. The people, on the three sea vessels, were astonished by the site of the great ancient structure. Engineers, scientists, and other experts examined it carefully including those of the military. The structure was photographed, and filmed, from the first moment it was sighted as a 'tip' jutting above the horizon.

Yet what was more astonishing was that the incredible tower was continuing to stretch up towards the sky though slower, perhaps, than it had moved to rise above the ocean surface. Nor was it less astonishing that a great doorway opened in the tower side, being open at ocean level, as if inviting the three ships to enter. Indeed psychic specialists spoke of a strong pull to do just that, which was something that they were all soon 'feeling'. The airships were also soon being invited to go into that place.

Which brought about the strange discovery that, while the tower was reaching upwards, that the opening was somehow remaining at the level of the ocean. This seemed to be impossible but was happening before them. Anyway it went along with exotic stories of such ancient alien structures, most of which were to be found underground.

A big storm was coming and so it was quickly decided that all of the vessels, airborne or sea going, would enter the tower through the great opening. Somehow it had come to seem just common sense to do so as if some kind of subtle, powerful, influence had fallen upon all of the people in the expeditionary group.

As soon as the expedition had entered the great 'doorway' closed with the 'door' shimmering into place to become so flush with the wall that it was fully part of it. Yet so very big was that doorway, while it had been open, that the expeditionary force had not detected five other 'factions' enter the vast Skytower even as they did so.

One was Nemo's mighty majestic submarine ship, another were the 'alien' creatures and the whales that they had been protecting, but what were the other three?

Zombies from the Sky: Fifty-Six

New Episode

Two 12.1[12]{55}

CalamityJane aimed her massive revolver pistol and fired off a fiery projectile that blasted down a great hulking undead thing, a superzombie wandering through the place that was amazingly old and secret. It had been sealed up for a very long time and in it lay a very deadly secret that was linked to the coming of the comet-projectiles from space; or so feared the three.

DocHoliday fired off both his exotic pistols, being far more exotic than they looked to be, as did CalamityJane and BillyKid. The guns were sweeping away wave after wave of the undead monstrosities but it was they who were being pushed steadily backwards.

Then she suddenly stood there, almost as if he had always been there, the tall figure in softly glowing white armour, with softly glowing white medieval looking weapons; they were no more what they looked generally like than were the pistols of the three.

She drew her mighty glowing bow and a great energy arrows formed into existence. She released the energy bow string and the arrow shot through the air, flickering with its speed, and there was a great explosion of white light. When it was gone there was only some small heaps of ash where the great swarm of undead had been.

She turned to the three. "I am the Angelic Slayer of the Undead, Cellestia. Together we have a chance of finding what you seek, and of destroying it, but you need must trust me and follow the very few instructions that I give; mostly I will follow your lead for my kind are limited in how, and how much, we can intervene in even immortal affairs. If we succeed the grave situation, that this amazing realm is in, will improve greatly but the threat will not be over."

The three nodded in acceptance, having worked with angelics before though not often, and soon the four of them were moving deeper into the increasing distorted, darker, conditions of that place. It was seemingly part temple, part city, part fortress, and many other things blended insanely together but much of it made no easy sense at all.

Zombies from the Sky: Fifty-Seven

Was 23.1[24]{31}

Two 13.1[13]{56}

At last the Oracle was able to open the 'package' that had been sent from London by ancient, dangerous, means. The buffering packaging was badly damaged but this was to be expected; the stuff was expensive and at least half the time failed to protect what was inside; this was why nothing irreplaceable was normally sent by such means and copies were sent if the original failed to get through. This time, though, the sent item was not threatened by such modes of teleportation for it was almost totally indestructible. The item was not even slightly warmed, or even slightly tainted by strange energies.

Professor Arnie Vezzati, and Lecturer Annie Vezzati, looked upon the exposed object with amazement but also with expressions indicating that it was somehow familiar to them.

Annie spoke out in her lightly continental accented voice that showed that she was greatly awed by what she was observing. "It is a key of the AncientOnes that created the artefact structures and power artefacts. We have viewed images of such devices in underground ancient complexes, including the great one where podbushes grew. It is beautiful, but disturbing, there and also infested with dangerous creatures of exotic nature. There are metallic stone statues there like those that are against the wall over there and also other features of a kind found here."

Around them stretched the great chamber that had never ceased to awe those of the new alliance, including the immortals. More animans had arrived to dwell in the connected chambers, in more hopeful safety and comfort, along with oomans, wozzles, apedogs and others. Dispensers were found of foams, liquids, gases and solids of curious plus useful kinds.

Vendor devices were found that, for a price, dispensed blankets, backpacks, coils of rope, dometents, a variety of knives and other tools, concentrated healing serum and other useful things. It seemed clear that the types of items, gained from such devices, were not for the use of the ancients themselves but for beings of much lesser intelligence and technological capacity.

Duplication devices were also found along with healing alcoves, sleep assisting alcoves and other features still being carefully investigated.

The oomans guarded many areas to make sure that overly curious animans did nothing foolish.

The Oracle nodded. "It is an AraKey of the AraAncients of the GrandAncients who had a vast empire spanning not just many universes but many alternates and other dimensions of existence. It came from London and I had assumed that it was sent by the Incredible League of Champions but, in our last communications, they denied having sent it. I do not know who, what, sent it but they did so using the same means that the ILC and I use to send small packages between each other."

Dorothy stood there, with Toto sitting at her side, and she spoke. "I asked for the AraKey to be sent to you by my people. You will no longer need to use such dangerous forms of teleportation and communications. With the AraKey I will open up special facilities that only a few of you will be able to use with much care. It was Toto, and myself, who brought you all together by allowing access to those Secondary Waygates. I was not on the tramp-steamer, the SS Bravenis, before it ran into the glimmering mist."

Captain ManMonster nodded. "I knew that when I first saw you for I always kept careful watch over who was on my beautiful vessel."

The others studied Dorothy, and Toto, with much wonder.

Note: bad writter ahead !

Tonight the nexus chat was full of quarrels and badness all around, a man named --- had troubles to be found. At first each question had some form of crudeness to be sure, he asked us all to pin point our attention to his skyrim character wearing fur ! He had asked a thousand times the answer was told over and over but still with every shout he only got bolder and bolder. The man now got abrupt and gruff this time round, as the other chat goers calmed him, in him was no kindness to be found ! After a while of talking and being poetic and helping chew the fat i had just received a letter wanting me to chat. At first sight the name seemed known and surely i thought twas not him the man known only as this one word ---

I would continue but's its 2.32 am now so no

Thunderstreak, very interesting but just a tad confusing for me, myself, and I have not been on chat for many a day now nor have ever spoken of any Skyrim character in the chat. So it must be that you refer to another. So why speak of such happenings here, now? Still it was interesting to read, as already stated!

:yes: :huh: :smile: :tongue: :turned: :facepalm: :sweat: :psyduck: :teehee:

Zombies from the Sky: Fifty-Eight

New Episode

Two 14.1[14]{57}

The brand new looking SS Bravenis, drifted peacefully in the lagoon where Captain ManMonster walked upon its decks with amazement and gratitude. It was his 'ship', he could feel it to be so, and somehow it had been brought back to him but not as it was when he had first worked upon it as a much younger man. It was bigger by at least a third, that is in both length and width along with depth of hull.

As for the SS Bravenis, she had upgraded engines, other systems, and now had weapon turrets with machineguns and even small cannons along with some armour plating. New type radar, sonar, radio and sensor instrumentalities would be of great assistance. Apart from improved lifeboats she had two bigger motor-launches and a small submarine, though it was not a very deep diving one.

Stranger still were crew members who had seemingly returned from the dead, including some cats and vermin. The humans were puzzled, though pleased, but the cats were very relaxed about the whole thing. Anyway they were busy hunting rats and mice.

There were returned passengers but also more people than had been on the passenger-cargo tramp-steamer before it had gotten into trouble. The strangers were of an odd variety but all appeared to have specialised skills, training, and experience that would be of great worth to the new alliance. On board were more crew members, including specialists to deal with the new systems, special forces soldiers, scientists and more.

There was a large amount of useful, and very useful, cargo to be used.

Captain ManMonster stood there, on the bridge, smiling. He knew that the SS Bravenis would serve the islands from then on but for the moment would assist to defend Freedom Island from the threats that faced it. Once a few people had left the ship, he would bring on board some of his new people and start training them.

Yet what was even more amazing was where the vessel had come from for a great Skytower was stretching up towards low orbit, was growing up out of the very lagoon itself but was not throwing any shadows or having any other such effects on the environment around it. This Skytower was identical to others arising around the world including from the north and south poles.

Seagulls drifted on the air currents, fishes flashed silvery scales in the bright sunlight, palm trees swayed lightly in the same breezes, and on the sandy beaches were locals fishing and carrying out other daily activities. Despite all of the strangeness taking place, normal life was still going on.

Zombies from the Sky: Fifty-Nine

New Episode

Two 15.1[15]{58}

Quinn, Katrina and Salina sorted amongst the odd items 'bought' from the vendor-cube. Dorothy, and Toto, staid with them in a great big glowcavern lit-warmed by glowcrystal. People were settling in there, being both locals and refugees. They needed the vendor-cube items along with other resources.

Vendor items, such as blankets and axes, turned out to have special properties as did dispenser goods. Once charged up, through the use of different means, the items could regenerate damage done, resharpen if bladed, be cleansed and so forth.

Tentdomes could be made to become semirigid or rigidly hard.

Blankets became excellent against all extremes of temperature and for smothering flames but also for other reasons.

The food rations were able to be consumed by a surprisingly wide variety of lifeforms, gaining much nutritional support from doing so but no harm.

Outfits, to be gained as fitting particular shapes-sizes, went from basic webbings of pouch dotted belts, all the way to thin effective undersuits, oversuits and others.

Those items, with others, came from one menu of submenus. Another menu, of submenus, offered a short list of hand-weapons such as swords and maces, another short list of projectile weapons and projectiles, and a very short list of armour suits. These also, when charged enough, had enhancements and extra abilities.

There were odd inconsistencies in the ranges of items offered in both what was there and what was not there but everything was used.

Animals joined the four, and some animans also. There was one of every kind of item there, spread out evenly on the hard rock floor. The three damphirs were trying to find if there was some kind of pattern in what was there but also what was missing. For example there were two sizes of wood axes but no such tools as shovels or spades, though they would be very useful.

Dorothy spoke. "Perhaps each item is linked with a mystery, a puzzle to be solved, that might lead to some kind of results, even rewards."

She had been sitting quietly, cross legged, with Toto curled up in her lap sleeping. She did not say much but when she did all listened for there was a deep quality to her voice that drew people to doing so. There was also the factor, that she was most honest about, that there were limits to what she could do and-or say, in how much she could influence the mortal realms and in what ways that she could do so. Dorothy had given over a very valuable clue but no more than that.

They would need to keep their selection of one of every kind of item, or set of items, despite pressure that the triplets should give them all to the people of the glowcavern. The pressure had eased off for there was something about the damphir triplets that was extremely tough and that caused folks to back off if they were trying to act unfairly towards the three.

Zombies from the Sky: Sixty

New Episode

Two 16.1[16]{59}

Robinson Crusoe, with his tentaculan friend, reached an underground lake that was part of the ancient complex. Animans, and other folk, were nervous of it at first but became used it it. Some even befriended it, including some of the aquatic animans, the amphibians and those who spent all their time in the water.

The Oracle came and communicated with the entity and with her went the professor, his daughter, and others of exotic nature and abilities. Dorothy, with Toto, visited the tentaculon but just sat and looked at it while Toto slept in her lap. As for the damphir triplets, they were planning to make an expedition up the underground river down which the terrible jittery corpses had floated.

Boats, small ships, balloon-craft, came to Freedom Island bringing more folks while others kept arriving through the underground ways. Amongst them were more unlifen, including reavers, and more animans, including tigerchimps. With them came information but mostly there was brought fragmented stories, dark whispers, and other stuff of unreliable nature.

Freedom Island was not the only major area where refugees were moving to to set up alliances, and fortifications. Others were also preparing to fight the shared threat but some of those were bad in their own ways.

Dragonlings, and small dragons, were arriving on Freedom Island and their had been brief sightings of flying dragons, aquatic dragons, along with other kinds.

There were more leadership meetings, briefings, and plans being altered or made.
