A small test. Running from the outskirt of Arazzo to Soleare. Im using "player.setav speed 220" for this test. My character is otherwise a bulky spellsword that cant move that fast.

Arazzo area seems to be a very CPU-intensive region. In the town I get a slideshow and constant crashes (even when saving or retrieving stuff from barrels). Of course it may be entirely down to my crappy laptop, but could anyone confirm if your system slows down in Arazzo too, or is it some other problem on my end?

In response to post #14626698.

I get an CTD when following the cactus road from the harbor to Arazzo. If I go around Arazzo and enter the town from the north I can run around a bit before CTD.
Ive sent a bugreport about it.

I'm hearing about bugs in a
Arazzo too often. I must improve it! :)
But the second things is - Arazzo as is. It is a town with a lot of references, with a lot of people and animals. It can be problem for slow computers. I have about 20- 24 fps, but I have good computer.
Barrels? I have no poroblem with barrels. (I must test it)
The second bad region. (Killer for slow computers) is Collosina Village (north of Tochia) 12 - 17fps
I don't know why? It must be a bug there. I looked but I have no results. :(
But no crashes. :)

If Al decides to use the new file, it will be uploaded here, as an update.

Be advised, if Al chooses to do this, all upgraders will need to make sure that their characters are out of Ubanga and save their game (a "real" save, not a quick save) BEFORE they upgrade. Then, delete all files associated with this mod (esm's, esp's, bsa's, textures, meshes, trees, etc.) and copy the new files to your data directory. Then enable the new files and start the game, loading your new save. Failure to do this could result in crashes and other errors.

This accomplishes two things...You will only have the new files on your system (for sure) and will eliminate reports of bugs inherited by save games that still have references to data from previous versions of the mod. Actually, any time a new update comes out, users should at least do the actions outlined above, if not actually performing a true clean save before they run an upgrade to the mod. That is, at least until all the bugs are worked out of the esm.

Thanks astroboy, Al and cross1492 for quick advice on this. I'm pretty sure the main reason of these crashes is quite simply that it's time for me to buy a new laptop (something I should have done long time ago ;P). Another reason pointed out by cross1492 may be that this time round I didn't make a clean save, but continued my adventure in Ubanga from the previous save (and a quicksave at that! ). I realise that this version has a completely new structure (.bsa - but I unpacked the bsa's and installed the files with Wrye Bash for personal convenience because this way I can locate textures more easily), new .esm (actually, which one should be used - the one packed with download part 2, or the other one from part 1?), and new .esp (btw. can the .esp from wizardmirth's English Introductions Patch still be used as a replacer, or is it outdated now?). I'll have to get back to Cyrodiil and make a clean save, then I'll come back and check out Arazzo again. It's just that I've got only about 900 septims - the ship costs 1000 - and selling stuff in Ubanga is an adventure in itself... It's definitely not a gold mine ;P (Very harsh, but on the other hand, I enjoy its sense of living on tight budget - makes it all the more believable that Ubanga is a land riddled with poverty).
Al, don't worry too much about the barrels - I suppose it's Oblivion's regular scripts that get activated when I open containers, adding some extra oomph to the performance, so probably it's too much for my poor system... :)

Cool speedrun and a nice overview of this dry semi-desert region :) I love what your ENB does to its mood, too. Also, Brittainy's grasses fit so well here. All in all it's exciting to see how different it looks in different settings (which can be seen even when you switch the ENB on or off, but I also mean a different set of textures).
btw. do you mind letting me see the UBG daphne texture more clearly? It seems it's got stretched vertically in your set-up. (afaik. L&G changes this texture's proportions, which results in this glitch - if this is what I saw in your video I'll have to make an optional texture for L&G users.)

And hey, why don't you upload these vids to the nexus video section? They deserve some endorsements ;P

As you know, I had problem to generate my first bsa. Thanks cross1492 and TesaPlus it will be updated soon. You need one esm only! Both are identical. Select which you wish.
---------
"Wizardmirth's English Introductions Patch' should be updated. I've made some of corrections in a current version of UbangaDoors. Mostly in dialogs and topics. If you are using UEPatch, you will see still strange topics in game "ALCustomTPC" etc. But UEP is playable. You can use it!
----------
Remember to change the name of UEP if you are using bsa files in game. The name should be always identical to a current version of UbangaDoors. Now it should be UbangaDOORS1.8.6.esp, not UbangaDOORS1.8.3.esp
...Or, if you prefer, can change bsa's name. (UbangaDOORS1.8.6-UbangaTextures.bsa to UbangaDOORS1.8.3-UbangaTextures.bsa etc.)

I am going to be working some of the textures in ubanga. I believe some do not have mipmaps. The addition of mipmaps should help out performance and allow users to run the mod without "large" textures selected in the options. :)
