Di0nysys Posted July 11, 2015 Share Posted July 11, 2015 Probably with Super Mario Land on Gameboy. About the only Mario game not developed by Miyamoto. Enjoyed the hell out of Mario 2 as well. Still play it now on my phone. The game world in 2 was incredible. Open hub design and branching levels was something groundbreaking at the time.
