Probably not. Unarmed weapon != "true" unarmed combat.

 

You've probably answered this question a thousand time, so apologies, but regarding unarmored combat:

 

The light weaponry tree gives perk bonuses to unarmed - do these ONLY work with SkyRe's 'unarmed' equipped? Or if I just have no 'weapon' at all, will they still work?

Simple unarmed combat needs to be unperked so that the game doesn't misinterpret a brawl as lethal attacks.

On the spears: Yes, animations are the issue. I don't know of a way to add new animation sets, so one would have to use one of the two exiting 2H animation sets and tweak them to hell and back. Or go crazy with FNIS and use Idles/creative scripting, though I'm not sure how well that would play out...

On using Skywind resources: I'd definitely consider it. With PerMa, I'm using a mod architecture that allows me to keep all new stuff in a single master, and that master will be free for others to use and incorporate in their own mods. If you pull off something similar for Skywind, I can see myself using your resources.

Then again, not sure if that's a possibility for Skywind, considering permissions and stuff.

I want to see that being how we handle the resources, but looking at it I don't see that happening. The devs, as of right now, want everything rolled into a single esm upon release and I can understand it. I'll still push for a more open system for people who want to utilize our weapon, armor, and creature files. As they are 100% made from scratch, and can be redistributed with permissions. Thanks for the input.

On the spear front, fore plans on adding an alternate animation system to fnis, that could have some combat applications. At this point I'm holing out for that as I don't see another method of making it doable. We're also looking at water combat which I find funny, as it's only half working right now.

" Do you have something to battle that is not a slaughter fish?" Immersive Creatures adds Dreugh to the game. With the implementation of water combat and a lil tweak to behavior you could make them water bound.

Funny, because I'm playing with immersive creatures and I haven't seen a single dreugh. But yea we're adding dreugh and whooo do they looook craaaazy, like I would not want to run into one in the water. We also kind of needed a method of fighting them, that and we have a lot of people wanting to re-add game mechanics into skyrim but most of them are getting shot down because there are alternatives and we have a bigger objective.

Thus far I have ran into 3 of them, 2 were in the same place. One was just before Valtheim Keep, by taking the road from Whiterun past the stone, It spawned by the water. The other was traveling west on the way to Markarth down in a marshy area near a river and side pools/creeks, a little before the dibella shrine. Area right near a large Forsworn complex with traps and waterfalls. They have to be from SIC, I have nothing else that adds creatures.

Ive been following Skywind a while now, looking forward to its completion. By looking forward I mean Id give a testicle to play Morrowind with Skyrims graphics and engine. Dont worry, the woman wont miss it, ones more than enough.

it might, i played through as a werewolf fistfighter and i had a perk overhaul for the werewolf tree that gave me bonus unarmed damage and i got it on the "unarmed" weapon too. you could just "cheat" through the console and find out

Well in other news someone got custom animations for your short spear. I'm not sure how to go about asking for his procedure for doing it.
