Yes and?By the way, Paarthurnax tells you that there WAS a dragon captured in Dragonsreach by the Whiteru jarl. Balgruuf tells that jarl was Olaf, and dragon was Numinex. Well, bards could convince jarl, but I doubt they could convince old Paarthurnax.
I never denied that Olaf captured a dragon and took it to Whiterun.
Also Parthy himself states he doesn't know how Numinex was captured, so both sides are still equally possible at this point.

At least it's some proof that Olaf wasn't a dragon himself.

I also find it... curious. How did Olaf manage to capture a dragon on Mount Antor and bring him to Whiterun???
Animal Allegiance shout doesn't work on dragons! Checked it. Dragonrend (if Olaf even knew it, which seems unlikely) only forces a dragon to land. So how did he do it?!
Maybe there was some special Thu'um for it? Pity it's lost! I would very much like to learn it.

I would think Olaf cut up the dragon's wings, preventing it from being able to fly away, got a bunch of his men together, tied ropes around it, and hauled it back to whiterun.I also find it... curious. How did Olaf manage to capture a dragon on Mount Antor and bring him to Whiterun???

Also the animal allegiance thing may be a gameplay thing more then it is a lore thing, for balance reasons.

I don't understand it! If it's in game, it's in game!
Don't you think it's very convenient to dismiss anything with this "oh, it's just a gameplay thing"? After all, EVERYTHING in any game is a gameplay thing!
And about cutting Numinex's wings... Good idea! The most reasonable version I've seen so far.

Take, for example, the lore concerning the Tongues in the ancient Nord armies. The Tongues were called upon to do things such as blowing open the gates to a fortress, which is something the ancient Nord battle mages could not do. Yet, in actual gameplay, you can't even blow the door off a busted wardrobe and any apprentice mage with Flames can do more damage than your best three-Word Fire Breath. You can't always judge what is possible in lore from what you can actually do in gameplay.
