Any other controllers plugged in or installed. Even a joystick or a virtual controller could cause this sort of behavior. Was your character just stuck moving in one direction, or was it moving all over the place? Could be stuck keys, could be screwed up .ini file, could be bad mod.HI its been awhile since i last chatted on these forums except mod replies, i was wondering if anyone could help me with a very strange problem. I just recently reinstalled Oblivion on a new external Saegate Sata hard drive 750gb Big ah, well anyway when i first started playing it my character started walking all on its own, no keyboard input at all weird.
any suggestion.

Like i stated before this is a new one for me, only Oblivion has this trouble, no other game does.

Well, it has to either be hardware or software. Other than you having a ghost in the system, we've run through almost all the available options. If it isn't the keyboard, try using another mouse. It might even be due to how you have your controls setup in game. The only thing it could be other than some hardware or setup issue would be if you had some bad OBSE mods or some other malicious program at work.i dont have a controller installed, im a keyboard and mouse kinda guy, if that where the case i would have uninstalled the drivers for that pronto. Im no noob when it comes to pc's thats why im here, maybe some one would have a fix or a mod or something.

Something is at work here that is pushing the character... but what/how/why?
Don't get me wrong Thor, tis I recall vaguely have saw somewhere the .INI line about joystick causing troubles even when the physical device wasn't present. Go for it, I searched here and found this line: bUse Joystick=0... if it is already 0 I really don't know what can be.
