Patch 7 is now online.

It fixes an unfortunate regression caused by patch 4 (again) which caused followers hired during a new game to not gain experience points or level up. A work-around has been provided for players affected by this - if your followers are under-leveled, speak to them and you will find an option to level them up to your level or very near it. You should be able to spend any extra levels earned as normal.

Additionally, a small dialogue bug with Errol in the Arceris Sewers has been fixed.

Great mod, I endorsed this! Something bugs me though. When you enter the city and talk to Knife and if you refuse his offer you can't accept it later? I walk to talk to other NPC's before i decide if I should accept his offer.

I've ran into a problem. (contains spoilers) I killed Theron and the other Talens that did not wish to surrender but I can't talk to the captain, all he says is "Take poin, Theron is close." even when he is dead.
Edit: Reloaded the save a few times and it finally worked!

Grr. This is a known issue which I thought I had fully solved - it seems perhaps not. It makes absolutely no sense to me why this would not work based on my changes, and I have not experienced it myself in testing since I finally "fixed" it. My only suggestions are:

a) disable any mods you have installed
b) make absolutely sure you installed fresh and deleted any old versions of Thirst you have
c) make sure you have the newest version + patch installed

Thanks, it was never intended to force the player to choose then. I even scripted in the dialogue for players to come back to Knife and accept his quest, but the line to ask him about the caravan raids was set to appear once per game, not once per conversation.

This has been fixed in patch 8, however you may need to reload an earlier save for it to work properly.

Patch 1.8 is out!

- Rewrote follower hiring script; now followers will start at level 1 with no pre-set attributes or other characteristics, and will automatically be given enough XP to reach the player's level so all points can be spent manually (requires new game)
- The conversation history feature in the journal should now work correctly
- Fixed a cosmetic issue with three guards in the Arceris Outskirts being teleported up on top of a wagon after the Outskirts cutscene played (pathfinding/collision bug)
- Fixed a problem that prevented players from turning down Knife's quest line and coming back to him later - now you can turn him down and you will be able to start his quests (must reload save prior to asking Knife about caravan raids)
- Fixed misaligned minimap in the Slums Hovel
- Tweaked pickpocket loot for a number of NPCs
- Cleaned up scripts to remove any NPCs who were supposed to leave an area but did not properly leave (such as when the player goes to a different area and returns before the NPC has finished leaving)
- Fixed a few waypoint names
- Fixed Olen Ortiga calling male characters "ma'am" when talking to him a second time (bug caused by previous changes to merchant dialogue)

I'd like to report something. I pickpocket'd the jailor and the the quest "Inside man" when actually i killed Knife (i am with the city guard) so this quest can't be completed, right?

No, the quest can't be completed.

I need to add a check when you pickpocket the key that only updates the quest if you are currently on it. Thanks for reporting this. Small issue but it won't cause you any problems.

Yes, thank you. I've completed Thirst and it's one of the best mods out there! Great job, I really enjoyed the story and level designs!

Hey! ^^
I found a little bug after installing patch 1.8. After siding with the mages collective and killing the templars, I re-visited the collective again later. I talked to the undead guardian, who then attacked me because he said I was in the company of templars.
