I suppose you can make final version a little bit more difficult... gameplay is great, but some battles are easy even on setting 'Nightmare" difficulty

I tried play in Bloodblade's Hideout a few times and problem with no-attacking guards didn't repeat always...sometimes it worked fine and guards went out from the room and attacked me... So I think it's ok.

with working board's quests it's easy to earn a lot of money and buy good weapon and armors and beat all enemies. So think about it

Can you please change a mod a little bit so it would be possible to port my char from Origins??

@ Reabilitat
Sadly, no, if only because that would colossally unbalance the game. Plus, it doesn't star "the Warden" and is intended to be its own separate story.
@ deangelis7
I'm always tweaking difficulty. Currently most levels have a fairly static range of scaling (usually only around 2 level variance). I might increase that to see how it affects challenge, especially if people are doing all the side-quests before the main ones. I admit it's totally possible to min/max things and get very powerful, especially for experienced players; however, I don't want the mod to be so difficult that it's off-putting, especially for people who may not have played the game in a while. All I can say is, to my tastes, I think difficulty is alright... I've beaten the game on Nightmare once or twice so I'm not the most inexperienced person out there, but I don't want all combat to be a difficult slog like Origins can be on its hardest setting.
As for items, shops have been significantly changed in the final version. Most have much more limited and generic supplies, but with some more expensive unique loot. Several bosses also carry/drop powerful new unique items now, but I haven't tested yet with these so I'll have to see how that affects balance.

I just wanted to say that I'm eagerly looking forward to the full release. I wish there was a way to subscribe to profiles, so you could be notified about updates. I have much respect for people who can put together something like this; I can't even imagine the work involved.

Just a quick update - the needs of the real world have called me and I'm currently working (albeit part-time). Development is still going as intended, but things may take a bit longer than I'd originally hoped for. Thanks for everyone's support.

I'd like to give everyone a quick update:
- Yes, I'm still working on Thirst, but I'm unable to work on it day in, day out as I was before.
- Progress is going well. 2/3 of the endgame areas are done and have gameplay mostly up and running.
- The endgame stage should contain between 1-2 hours of gameplay depending on how you go through it. That's in addition to another 3-5 hours of gameplay added into other parts of the game.
- Additional content, including more quests (a very difficult combat arena and more), more random encounters, and more NPCs around the world to talk to.
- Companions have more dialogue added, as well as an approval system which can determine their fates in very permanent ways.
- Backgrounds now affect starting stats.
I'd like to thank everyone for their patience. I've uploaded a few new random screenshots to the gallery for those who want to get a taste of what's been added.

Thanks for the update. Can't wait.
I know how it is with Real Life. Thanks for the screenshots. Wish I could endorse again. No biggy but I see you did an approval system, what about romance? I kinda like the captain of the guard reminds me a little of Cullen.

Edit: Ignore this comment please. I tried to start a new game, but seems that the UPDATE for this version 0.1c was conflicting with my game.
You see, the update is via override and the conflict caused was that the normal backgrounds of DAO at character creation were replaced by the ones of your mod. That conflict didn't caused the crash of the game, just an strange anomaly (you begin in a room, alone without cinematics or npc, creepy creepy).
The solution was uninstall the mod and the update, of course.
However, i tested this mod and i liked it. Runs well and as far as i saw seems to be an interesting story.

@ladyluck278
Nope. As I've said I am vehemently opposed to token romances in games - if a game uses themes like love (not even romantic love specifically), it needs to fit into the central plot, i.e. Torment, or The Sith Lords. The idea of romance as fan service, or wish fulfillment fantasy, is something I do not support at all.
@ Alice2099
Sorry to hear that. Thirst works with several mods I use myself, but I cant guarantee there won't be conflicts despite my efforts. My suggestion to you is to make sure you have the demo and the latest update, and disable all other mod one-by-one until you find the source of the problem.
For the record, I have tested on a "clean" Ultimate Edition install on separate computers, and it works fine, as well as a 1.05 + Awakening install without the official DLC. I started development as far back as 1.04 so there is a chance that will work, but 1.03 or earlier I can make no guarantees.
