Skyrim 1.6 went live for everyone on 11th June

Still keeping STEAM(ing pile) in OFFLINE mode.....still got burned by leaving it on and had to restore the update.bsa/esm and TESv.esm via windows options. I have an extra layer of settings what with using eyefinity, and the only thing to do is wait till all peripheral software catches up to the patch and the inevitable patch to the patch. whatta pain in the ass this is every time, she ain't ever smooth off the line. E V E R.

I had the same problem. Steam didn't update my game to the final version from 1.6 beta. I had to make Steam validate the game cache. So if you're having trouble getting Steam to update your game, try that.

After backing up my SteamApps/Common/Skyrim folder I allowed steam firewall access and restarted steam to go online to update to 1.6 I also d/l'd the latest SKSE ver. Had same problem when activating weapons while on horseback (standing up), but after uninstalling AP Skyrim and Fores New Idles for Skyrim (FNIS), mounted combat anim are fine. Apparently those mods use same anim slots as the new patch for the mounted combat anims. As this latest playthough is as a thief, I'll soon see if dialog with Devlin at thieves guild is in fact messed up as phaota states.

Might be related to certain changes in .ini file. Reset your .ini and set it up again using Skyrim Configurator. Also, check to see if all of your mods are compatible with this new update.

Also noted a little while ago during play that the Imaginator mod isn't activating. Not sure if it is glitch with SKSE or the patch, though my Monster Mod Conjuration spells work fine, so Imaginator ought to as well.

I have just one question if someone would be kind enough to answer. Does the 1.6 patch fix the green underwater issue that occured with the 1.5 patch? I am currently running the latest 1.4 patch because even with the GreenWaterFix.esp there were still portions of the game where underwater visibility was zero. I would like to update to 1.6 for the assumed performance optimization, but not at the cost of having glitchy underwater parts. Any comment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mine updated fine. All i had to do was update SKSE. Looks good.

So far 1.6 working good. Really like the mounted combat anim. But...seems companions still dismount to fight. Hmmm..... @ phaota, I did not have issue with Devlin dialog/quests. That for me is working ok. Maybe you have a mod that is conflicting? I'm running 117 mods, inc better followers (lite), UFO, Horses for Followers, and a bunch of armor and appearance mods. @ yunggunn80, Last (1.5) update fixed green water for me. But I am running a pretty robust system (16gb ram, dual Geoforce 560s, 6 core processor, Win7 professional 64bit). Just a thought..this game is graphics intensive, but I'm sure you already know that ;)
