In my opinion, for the short time i played, there are a bit too many zombies... Kind of.
For example, I was out riding a horse, go inside a cabin the middle of no where, turn around and suddenly I'm swarmed by like three or four zombies.
I'm in the middle of no where and there was /nothing/ around when I went in, and they come in from the front door.
I mean don't get me wrong a lot of zombies is good, but when they spawn literally right there when you're trying to sneak around and get supplies it kinda breaks realism a little. I mean, I'd imagine that if I were to sneak into a building where there were /no zombies around/ zombies wouldn't magically appear out of thin air. I understand they have to spawn because its how it works, but it'd be nice if they spawned around populated areas instead of right on top of you.
That, or I just didn't see the small band of zombies hobbeling towards my newly found hideyhole. Either way, it was a bit frustrating. :/

You're correct, zombies should be far away from any cave, ruins, alied (5 bucks I spelled that wrong) ruins. There wouldn't be any except for the occasional one that wondered into the woods maybe, a cave that hold many bandits.

At first Zombies didn't spawn but i then checked whether i was playing the game through OBSE and i wasn't. When i turned it on the Zombies then started to spawn. Everything is inside the ESP file which is included in the downloads as the file just makes things spawn and doesn't add any new meshes or textures which is why the size of the file is so small. I haven't found any bugs or glitches so far. Awesome mod.
