Crossbows.... Again, I do not know if that is a bug, or not, maybe some design choice? But Elven Crossbow is worse than Steel crossbow. I have archery at 84 and I am doing damage 151 with High Grade Elven crossbow and 231 with High grade Steel crossbow. No mods besides Requiem, Convenient horses and all unofficial patches (Skyrim, Dawnguard and High-res). No Dragonborn activated. Crossbows alse seems too good in comparison with "heavy" bows. At lest that Steel one. I am using it to fight armored enemies and the reload is very fast and damage good too. No much need for heavy bows.

1. The elven crossbow is a light one --> half weapon damage (but full projectile damage) for half the reload time ;)
2. The imbalance between crossbows and heavy bows is a known issue and one of the main things we try to address in Requiem 1.8.2 :)

Sounds like an issue on your end. I checked the reference in question and it is the only instance of the actor "LvlBanditWizardAmbush", which derives from trickster type bandit in Requiem. So that means he is not supposed to have any ranged weapon at all, since he has an assortment of scrolls and maybe also a staff at his disposal. I also doublechecked all trickster skill templates and their weapon lists, no bow or crossbow was found in there.

Well, there were two bodies laying directly one on another, maybe I got wrong ID :( And one of them was definitely a "wizard"...

Did you already have the Quickshot perks? These are also fundamentally rebalanced in 1.8.2 to make them more balanced.

Yes, I have it. Not the improved variant though.

Give it a test without the perk (console magic) you should see the difference then more clearly. :)

i've been trying to solve the incompatible race problem, everywhere i've seen the problem referenced ppl say "go into tes5edit and fix it" but idek what that entails. how do i see which mod is overwriting and how do i make the patch? so far i've figured out that requiem is being overwritten, but i dont have any mods that alter the stats of the playable races.

If a mod overwrites any part of the race record, it overwrites everything. E.g. if the Ethereal Elven Overhaul changes some visual entries, the result will be EEO-visuals with Vanilla stats, not EEO with Requiem-stats.

Thus you should load any race-changing mods before Requiem or use up-to-date compatibility patches.
