From my experience, your words here are honest and true.
But that is we players who play game not let the game play us. For respect this great game and moder, we should not cheat, however we as modern people, do not have too much time enjoy everything we want.
So with all respect & honest, I recommend friends here use in game cheating. especially when your party is too big to catch up small group of enemy who move faster.

In my opinion, Jatus are OK, hard to defeat and in real world, the Mongols are even more crazy. But the Elf race in this game is somewhat Game Breaking. too strong! If they are so damn tough, why in Pendor elf race don't have a nice place to live?

In the beginning, you can try to serve one of the kingdom as mercenary. When you have some renown, you can join the kingdom, they will give you a small place to rule. then you can betray them, capture a city and call yourself a king or queen. That is how i have done. And now, they call me rogue queen, endless enemies come to recapture their city. even some foreign troops suddenly start to attack me, very funny.

Prophesy of Pendor Dev here:
Each mod, respectively is great in their own ways, not in others. Floris is expansive and well done to include many, many, changes to vanilla game and is great if you want a great enhanced vanilla experience in the best way possible. I haven't played much, but it's certainly good.
Prophesy of Pendor is a total conversion mod. I've played it for 4 years and eventually got onto the development team. There's so many things I can say about this that it makes it obvious that I'm biased. It's recommended for experienced Warband players and the game's difficulty is one of the many features it provides.

It's a finished product since...like forever ago. Just with each consecutive update we do, we either enhance things or add new features. Of course some bugs pop up here and then, but we have been years in with a completely playable mod.

Prophesy of Pendor, in the beginning, explains that this is a difficult mod to play and is for Warband veterans. So if you sit there and complain, you were warned as soon as you first moved your player.
Prophesy of Pendor has many, many features, but lasgalen hit the most basic parts of it so I don't have to sit here and describe everything.
However, tweaking a game for some reasons: battlesize, morale, etc can be nice and without over-cheating, presents a nice game that is somewhat under more of your freedom.
Heerwa2: Don't tell people to cheat. That makes people lazy and encourages more problems to arise in their game. If they cheat cheat, how can they expect to get any better in PoP? They can't.
The factions in this game all have lore. You should know why the Noldor are the way they are if you read what they said and through various dialogues.

Standalone, when you download it everything is there. Just make sure your Warband is up to date.
