Best UNP skin and face mod matchups

Hi everyone :)

My dilemma is as follows: Been using CBBE for yonks now and thought i'd change it up a bit and use UNP, problem is I can't find a decent skin and face texture mod which match up nicely.

I've donwloaded one or two but they just dont seem to want to match up

. If anyone could be so kind as to point me in the direction of these textures i would be immensely appreciative :D

Thank you.

Install the mods in this order

1 UNP - I LIKE THE SKINNY VERSION BETTER MYSELF

2 UNP BLESSED BODY UNPB - AGAIN SKINNY VERSION "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14899" GIVES BIGGER LOOKING TITTIES

3 UNP ALL IN ONE FACE - PICK THE UNP YOUNGER PACK "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17704"

4 UNP DELICATE - MAKES THE SKIN SMOOTHER "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20530"

5 FAIR SKIN - OVER ALL GREAT LOOKING SKIN "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19666" BY INSTALLING THIS LAST YOU ENSURE YOU HAVE NO NECK SEAMS.

Other things I strongly suggest install is the

1 ENHANCED CHARACTER EDIT "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12951/" GIVES REALISTIC SKIN TONES ALONG WITH GOOD FACE MORPHING.

2 INHABITANTS OF SKYRIM - CHARACTER PRESETS "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18820"

3 UNP ARMORS - GOOD FOR BODY SCALING "http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7305"

you can pick your own hair and eye mods

Here is a dark elf with the above mods installed http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/20530-1-1342408338.png

Pretty much the reason I went back to CBBE... even trying the 'seamless UNP' version of Coverwomen, I was still seeing the seam... not so much inside but in light it was pretty obvious. CBBE+any face mod+ texblend = almost completely invisible neck seams, so for now I stay with it. Good luck in your search, and please let me know if you find a good combo for UNP. :tongue:

@vlaka

A good ENB preset will do a lot to make the characters look better. That should be the first thing you get.

@Airklot

Nice list. I forgot about coverwoman. It still has the best textures around the eyes and the lace warpaints are always cool.

@SheWildWolf

Dimon99's neck seam fix works perfectly. If you can't use photoshop to fix the seams use gimp. It's free and it has a dds export tool. Copying and pasting is not that hard. Neck seams are not a reason to use to CBBE over UNP. There might be other reasons to use CBBE, but not neck seams.

thank you so much Airklot.

My females look great now.

Ill also give coverwomen a try with UNP, i dont have many neck seam issues anymore either. My enb helps blend things too which is a bonus :D

Yes, I know how to copy and paste :rolleyes:

I have both photoshop and Gimp, and I've tried that, both with Better Females and Coverwomen. I can do the diffuse and spec blends just fine, but I have a problem with the normals... size wise I mean.. when I go to paste the UNP neck normal onto the normal map of the face for marquee select and cut to blend, it's twice the size as the face map.. I've tried unsucessfully to scale them. :( The neck seam is still visible if I've only done the diffuse and spec maps. Any advice on the normals?

hi,

I also starting playing with CBBE until last month when I changed to UNP and I really don't regret it.

I'm myself using PRETTY FACE ( I have the 1.6 version not using the last one ) which also has a UNP seam patch and it's very nice imo. No neck seam.

And of course Apachii sky hair.

You should give it a try.

@SheWildWolf

You have to resize the face map so that it is the same size as the neck. I don't know where it is in Gimp but in Photoshop it is under IMAGE > IMAGE SIZE. I hope that helps.

@all

Just a reminder, there will always be certain lighting conditions where your neck seams will show (even with texblend). But like I said before, a good ENB config will help a lot with that. Also, if you guys haven't tried it yet, check out facelight. It helps prevent your character from getting all brown and shadowy.
