The actual download size of Skyrim Dawnguard is 1,156.4 MB (Steam version).
But why did Bethesda released Dawnguard without a huge announcement? I just read that it was released today, last week Bethesda wouldn't give us information about a release ..

Yes, it's strange to say the least:
They usually boast about it, but no, they release it through the backdoor,
when no one is watching, with a bundle?
I was excited about new content at first, but now a "weird, what are they hiding?"
alarm sounds in my head...

Am I only imagining this or did they inclue a lot of things that people already made mods about (Fletching, dragonbone weapons etc.) I'm currently downloading Dawnguard, so I don't know how the weapons looks exactly.

$20, really? No thanks, wake me when it's 75% off and they fix some of the bugs, as we all know there will be hundreds.
...Not to mention, the premise kinda strikes me as utterly stupid. Do vampires lose their gray matter when they turn? 'Ending' or blocking the sun would end all life in a matter of time. What are they going to feed on once all men and mer are dead?
With no sun, plants die, things that eat plants die, things that eat things that eat plants die. No sun, no heat, everything becomes a frozen wasteland like Atmora, the vampires bodies freeze...
@Giriel
Pretty much. There was even a crossbow mod in the works, textures were drawn up, guy was looking for a modeler and animator to get it working. Not necessary now, but the guy will probably release the retexture which is bound to look loads better

20euro/dollars isnt that much for it. Its about the price of most of the DLCs when they come out first.
If your not willing to pay it dont *censored* about the price. Its only 20quid (using quid as its universal) and you get more from it then you would spending that 20 on anything else (least thats how I see it). Of course, if it was less I wouldnt complain about that either but I knew it'd be that much so I was prepared. Probably drop in price around christmas by about 5 but I doubt anymore then that. DLC from Bethesda takes forever to come down in price.
Game seems fine, Ive yet to encounter any major bugs, just waiting on a texture pack for the new textures
There was a facebook announcement about it early yesterday evening, thats how I found about about it, but I'm surprised they didnt twitter it, though, I dont really follow twitter so god knows if they did or not.
I wonder if all those people who were paranoid about them keeping it "exclusive" to the xbox so microsoft could pay more feel silly yet? A whole week and a half delay, its a conspiracy I tell ya!!

Well...after feeding steam some voucher money early this morning, and waiting for their servers to catch up.."Sorry you are not allowed to view content at this time,{ 'please try later'}...Boom!!!
Steam allowed me to download around midday...
I've played it for about three hours...and without resorting to a few console shortcuts( I hadn't read any walk through)I'm now a vampire lord !!! Played Skyrim for over 1200hrs with mods and loads of crashes, never been tempted by the fangs...This DLC is a different breed however.
Very reminiscent of Underworld...looking forward to trying all the other permutations. Well worth 14 quid, and no crashes yet...
