@Scorch621 You mean people on the internet got angry over something they didnt get all the facts about first? Well I never!

Thats what happens when you have a limited number of symbols to write something important down!

Of course they will, PC players are some of the most loyal (bordering on zealous) fans Bethesda has, they wouldn't leave us @Edg3k Well...yeah I think thats whats happened, tell you though this whole hype has caused such a stir that you can barely find this article

Howdy Outlander been a while!

@Edg3k

Yup as outlander said their lack of transparency or desire to be transparent is causing the problem. The fact that they are simply saying its not coming out and we have to plans to release it yet.... is a bit annoying. If they said they have plans to release it but were porting or bug fixing it... then it would ease some tension. But basically how purposely open they left it to speculation is meaning that an obvious NDA was made about its exclusiveness, and that if they do intend to release it, the date they planned on due to the Exclusive Rights purchase from Microsoft would affect popularity and stock prices. So it is simpler to let players argue back and forth both against and for based on theory then give solid proof of a 6 month delayed release in a very shakey market.

@ Scorch621 Calm down buddy, just saying it is pretty good business sense to wait that long. The PC players will still be there at Xmas, because we can make mods to tide us over, while the impatiant lot will go out and get it for the xbox. There is no apoc bandwagon though... except maybe with zombies. PC games are so zealous and they know and indeed count on it. The majority of people who would be upset with such a late release of dawnguard on the PC will still get it, even at XMAS. Essentially what it is, is that, yes it will make you mad, but that doesnt mean you wont buy it. The long exclusive simply delivers a larger capita to them and microsoft.

@Scorch621 Lack of any information up until today was a huge nail in the coffin. Any information, good or bad, would at least have been information. Honestly, I didnt even realize it'd been a month til my brother told me he'd gotten it for xbox a month ago.
Someone mentioned a 3 or 6 month exclusive contract and I was surprised Microsoft left it at just a month. I'd say the 1.7 patch will be a prep for Dawnguard to be honest. Showing up a few days before Dawnguard was meant to be released as beta on Steam got me thinking it wouldnt be out on time. Their hardly gunna bring out an expansion dlc then patch it a week or so after, it doesnt make logical sense.
Plus, look at all the free publicity Dawnguard is getting now. People will be eagle eyed watching out for a release date now, including people who might not have been to interested to begin with. Seems the nexus is a lot more understanding then most places have been today.

It just seems like a lot of video games are waiting for a closer to xmas release for patches and expansions. World of Warcraft with the Mists of Pandara which I think is in 2 months, Tera I think was doing something to, Borderlands and Skyrim. The Xmas season is the big competition now, and can be a defining moment when people let their guard down on their wallets, justifying an expensive purchase simply because its Xmas.

I'm calm dont worry :D and true PC players will still get it at Xmas if it does come out then, business sense it could be a good idea, but remember, other companies have the same mindset, Bethesda would lose more than they gain I think, still quite a few months till Xmas it would be quite silly on Beths half if they said "hey lets release it for Christmas!" people dont buy DLC at Christmas, they buy games... as for Apoc bandwagon, check out the beth forums...bit of a stir albeit, one thread was calmed down with this: @Edg3k: True lack of information is very very bad, but you have a point, everyone is eagle eyed for the release, and steams servers are gonna flip when it does

@Edg3k i like how you give a condescending and rude tone to your argument and pretend to be knowledgeable on the subject when you have overlooked a huge detail. the DLC has been out for a MONTH. they have had plenty of time to iron out bugs. your "preferring" this game to others has blinded you from seeing that major fact. building on another point in your strung-out argument, yes, Bethesda does want to make money. the only reason Bethesda hasn't released the DLC is because Microsoft is feeding them money. as for the last paragraph in your pointless argument, i never said anything about the mod content on this site. don't put words in my mouth. however, i am entitled to Dawnguard when it comes out for PC if i pay the $20 (or however much the DLC will cost on Steam).
