In response to post #16635099.

You have to try it once again. Sometimes the files get corrupted when the Nexus has some technical issues. :)

Hello, so I love these mods but they are not working for mac labtop. I download them but all I get is a paper file that opens in textedit, thats it. It doesnt download as a zip file or something compatible with my mac. I am wondering what I am doing wrong, because I downloaded the more hairstyles mod and It downloaded as a zip file and I put it into my ovveride file and it worked automatically. I could really use some advice because this is happening with other mods too. None of them are working on my mac.

In response to post #16797879.

Download the file there are programm for the Mac to unzipp zip or rar files. I have only links to German programms. Just search the web for a free one. .. or there should be a built-in one of your Mac which you can use.

Put the Hairstyle Day folder in your override folder.
If you don't use any other cosmetic mods then you have to do nothing and the hair should show up in your Character Creator because the folder has a chargenmorphfile included.

If you have already a chargenmorphfile because you are using other cosmetic you have to merge the chargenmorphfiles. You must compile your chargenmorph files! You should only have one in your override folder or the hairstyles will not shown up in the CC.
You can do this with a compiler but I'm not sure if it works for Mac users too: http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/971/?

or you edit the chargenmorphfile manually:

Open the chargenmorphfile with the notepad and you will see something like that:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<morph_config>
<heads>
Thats the section "heads": Here you will find all entries for the original presets entries.
<human_male>
.. and here are of course the presets entries only for human males.

So, now when you are scrolling down, you will find the entries for the hair. It should look like that:

<hairs>
<human_male>
<resource name="hm_har_blda_0" cut="0234"/>
<resource name="hm_har_ha1a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_ha2a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_ha3a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_hb1a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_hb2a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_hb3a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_hb4a_0" cut="1"/>
<resource name="hm_har_hc1a_0" cut="1"/>

You will find these entries for every race and gender.
Now you have just to copy the entries from the Sheppies chargenmorphfile.
Paste it in your chargenmorphfile under the correct sections. That means female elf hairstyle entries under the hair section for the female elves and so on. ..

That's all

Hope this helps.

So I'm not sure what mods are competing but another user posted a photo that looks similar to the issue I'm having. I've merged several chargenmorph files together (correctly) and no matter what I do or which mods I deactivate everyone in the Circle minus the Tranquil have no robes on (dang Templars, I'm sure this was their idea!) and Uldred and Gregoir and Cullen all have strange Metallicy tan faces and Uldred has no hair. If I take out certain mods it makes his hair turn white but nothing I've done so far aside from just deleting everything has made this problem go away. Help! LOVE the hairstyles though! So I really want to find a fix for this instead of not using this app or many of the others that make the game more enjoyable.

I'm not sure but maybe it's a conflict between this mod and Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors or something? Maybe a duplication of mesh/texture for certain NPCs? Wouldn't explain the naked mages glitch (not just naked but when I'm in Ostagar and the mage gets added to my party he literally has no armor equipped) but I'm just brainstorming as to what would cause this.

That's a lot gone wrong. :ohmy:

Firstly, the chargenmorphcfg.xml only affects what assets are available during character creation for the player character. It has absolutely no effect on NPCs.

Shiny,  metallic faces are indicative of missing skin textures. I'd make certain that I installed any required mods for those character morphs.

If Uldred has no hair (i.e., the top of his head is missing entirely) that indicates a missing hair mesh. Again, I'd doublecheck the requirements for his morph. The white colour sounds like a missing tint.

Neither a hairstyle mod like this or one that changes or adds tints for hair and eyes (such as PTs vibrant colors) would affect the gear on an NPC like the mages. Equipment assignments are made by UTC files, one for each character... if your mages are all en déshabillé, you have either conficting UTCs for those characters (unlikely, but possible), or conflicts regarding the robes they should be equipping.... it could be an Item Variation conflict (where two clothing items are using the same model number 'slot', or two mods with conflicting meshes.)  Or the robes they sould be wearing are missing from your install.

Have you installed anything that affects the gear equipped by NPCs, especailly mages? Are there any UTC files affecting Circle mages or the Ostagar mage? (The latter is 'pre100cr_wizard_join.utc'. Circle mages have UTC files with the prefix 'bhm' for the magi origin, and 'cir' for Broken Circle.)

Or have you installed anything that replaces the vanilla mage robes with other models?

Finally, did you troubleshoot by removing mods and visiting  the affected area for the first time? Once you've entered a map, all of the NPC equipment assignments are locked into that save (as in, the gear equipped by the Ostagar mage is set the moment you enter that map with Duncan, even though you don't encounter him until much much later.

NPC morphs, on the other hand, can be changed midway through a game.

In response to post #17153714.

Metallic faces- means a skin texture is missing... that your mages are naked seems to be an armour mod problem...and pineappletree works with Hairstyle Day. All glitches you have mentioned haven't something to do with this mod.
It would be easier to help you if you could post a list of your installed mods and ask again in the DA forums. :)

Edit: Ups,.. Sky was faster :D

The hairstyles won't show up no matter what, and I dont' know what the problem is. Are there any mods that are incompatible with this one? It worked perfectly a few minutes ago
