I changed the administrative mode and the other stuff yesterday so I haven't had the chance to test it properly yet. Will post results. :-)

This problem lies within DG, it has to. There is no other logical answer, so my question is now: if I travel to a friendly location (like Whiterun) and then uninstall Dawnguard, can my save file be saved?

You could try making a clean save i.e. Go to Whitrun, save. uninstall all mods and DG. Open you save and then save over it again making a clean save.
After my last runtime error this morning I've not had any probs for a couple of hours of play so I'm back to square one not knowing if the error will strike again or not. I did notice that tonight there was a Windows update for "Security Update for Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package" so I'll wait and see if maybe that'll solve it.

Hmm, seeing as it's probably a C++ error I do think that updating can fix it. The only problem is that my Windows Update won't work until I reinstall Windows 7, and I'm not exactly eager to do that. Can I somehow download all the C++ updates and install them manually or from some kind of package which does not require WU?

I will definitely try making a clean save, but I think I will finish the DG quest first. Too curious about what's gonna happen.
