Necrobump as I'm having this problem.  Has it ever been fixed?  This seems like a huge embarrassment to Bethesda, the DLC has been out for a long time now.  I've tried everything, still getting the freeze with windows error sound, and have to end task Skyrim.  I save every ten minutes now, as that's my average spurt before a crash.  HALP PLS.

Humorous remarks aside, just ran into this problem myself, and no suggested fix have worked so far (been to other forums as well). 

 

I hope someone has found a fix during the time passed since this topic was created, and that that special someone sees this!
