Go to Thirsk and purchase a book called Sovengrade reexamined. Then give it to the dude, and fight him. You'll get a purdy reward ^_^ .

Please get used to the search function. This question was asked and answered recently and you could have had the info immediately. (Not that wesay was long in supplying it.)

For anyone who needs hints the site UHS (Universal Hints System) is a good one because it only shows only a bit of a solution at a time. There is a direct link to it in one of the pinned threads in Spoilers section. It also has so far not been dogged by the access problems experienced by UESP.
