"First only the PC has modding possibilities, what about PS3 and Xbox 360, can't we be a bit happy for the fact that they get something like this."
Who cares about them? People are upset about the DLC because PC has had MULTIPLE buildable houses of good quality for some time. The money they spend on Beth's games is turned against us as bribe dollars, so really idk why anyone here cares what they think or want. They also put up with paid peer to peer multiplayer, on-disc day one DLC, forced console updates that put in ads and/or take out features, and maps copy/pasted from the last brown shooter in the franchise being sold as DLC. Have you ever stopped to consider the signals the console market is sending publishers? HINT: They aren't good ones.
Why is there this expectation that we should have any kind of sympathy for the console players? Every dollar spent by a console gamer is a dollar used by Microsoft and/or Sony to bribe devs to delay and cancel not only PC content but BUGFIXES (one week delay for critical Battlefield 3 patches -- including fixes to game-breaking exploits -- "thanks Sony PS3 is da best XD"). MS also pays devs to use GFWL, targeting high-profile releases and especially games that are "better on PC" like Bethesda games and the new Batman games.
I'm upset because this DLC is basically wasted development effort for me, since I've been using Build Your Own Home for months and loving it. I honestly don't care if the console market has access to that content or not since they choose to support companies that are literally as bad as EA and Actiblizzard, but I don't want Bethesda spending resources on it when they could be developing story-heavy DLCs with new gameplay mechanics (VL, crossbows) and full voice acting like Dawnguard (read: projects that are very difficult for modders and require big, dedicated teams).
