Can anyone tell me why I can't run it 60 FPS? Its a bit confusing that only in the menus does it run 60FPS but in game it won't go a frame above 30. I could always run this game at a solid 30FPS with all DSFix settings maxed, @1920x1080.

Only problems I ever had was with Blighttown. Oh well, would have been nice but its okay.

I added the new d3d9.dll, hopefully this wont crash the game as its happening with a lot of people. Just remember, no save buackups, disable intro skipping as well as texture dumping and DISABLE MINIMALIST HUD.

Hope it works

How do I do all of that? lol Sorry for the dumb question.

i tried this mod and i had some issues with it
first of all my proccessor is an e6750 overclocked at 3.4 ghz
dark souls system requirements says that it needs atleast an e6850 at 3.0
my fps range normally between 15-30 mostly stays at 30
when i use the 60 fps mode i get 60 fps in some areas and 45-60 in almost everywhere else.
my problem is that when i am in blighttown or anywhere else under 30 fps the mod seems to slow the entire game down instead of taking out some frames and keeping the game at the same speed it should be running at. is there anyway you might be able to fix that or is this mod specifically for 60 fps always?
my gfx shouldnt be in question as its a gtx 560
any responses welcome

This might be a placebo effect but use the catalyst control centre to override application anti-aliasing and play around with the settings it seems to have given me a more consistent 60 fps. I'm using a ATI 6950 with an i7 2600k.

@ Rseniss ok, it seems your problem is not the patch but the game itself which works fine on vanilla but because you are using the disbler protector for gfwl it prevents from strting the game up. what you can do is, Uninstall BOTH gfwl client and market place and install new version. Run the setup.exe as ADMIN as well as running darksouls.exe as admin. Also go to the MS website and download the latest DX drivers. Will look into it more, but try those thing in those steps and see if it works Try disabling the steam overlay as well. Do you have any programs runnning like dxtory? xfire? do a net frame 4.0 install and a v++ install as well. there should be no reason to crash unless you are missing a component to run the mods 60 fps patch requires netframework 4.0

This actually made my gameplay nearly impossible. While i was sitting perfectly at 30 FPS, then putting this on I dropped to around 10-15 everytime it gets a little crouded.

What files do I delete exactly?
