This fix solves the horrible auto-aim jumping around when surrounded by enemies, but there is only one issue - when I scroll targets I also scroll my items, can you tell me how to unbind these controls from mouse? Google isn't helping at all.

I know it's late, but look up a program called "SwapScreen"

Doesn't work for me.
My character just runs forward and left, I can't move the viewpoint around, and can't attack. DSFix works fine, but when I add DSMFix, it all goes to hell.

Does anyone know of a way to toggle UI Mouse while in game? I ask this because during some parts such as (SPOILERS) The Fight with Lautrec (SPOILER ENDS) he starts talking for a good minute and since all my attack and defense buttons are mapped to the mouse, I'm dead unless I can keep away from him. I can't even turn the camera without using the I J K L (or was it arrow?) keys. Being that he has a ranged buddy and I wear rather heavy armor, the strategy doesn't always work. Backstab city. This problem extends to every time someone talks. Apparently my character would rather be polite and pay attention even if that means death. I use a standard three-button mouse with left click set to guard and right click set to attack, using shift changes the buttons to parry and heavy attack. I tried putting blocking on shift within the game itself but without the ability to parry or attack at all I am severely gimped.
I was still able to beat him regardless but how many more times am I going to have to deal with such an issue? (That's not to say I don't appreciate to work you've done with this, I'm just fearful of having "God of Appearing Behind You" showing up and eviscerating me while my pants are down) I was hardly prepared to have an enemy's ultimate attack be disarming dialogue. I know pressing buttons for advancing dialogue or leaving menus would rush me through but I'd like to be able to hear what the characters are prattling on about. It might be important, like inadvertently giving away a weakness or something similar. If I could make a suggestion, having a key to be held for toggling wouldn't be the worst idea. Vindictus, a Nexon game that implements the idea well, would be good to... to be perfectly honest, copy off of. Simply put, I only have the UI Mouse appearing and stopping me from attacking when Alt is held when I play that and it's perfect since it's an action game and those mouse buttons are important for staying alive. Since Dark Souls is a much more difficult game to stay alive in (comparatively, anyway) the sudden gimping is... rather annoying, to say the least.

OK, so after a bit of difficulties and trial and error I got this working with my Razer Nostromo on Win 7 x64. Like many others I had zero camera control using the mouse with the fix active (even with the Nostromo unplugged). The way I fixed it is by opening the control panel and opening the Device Manager. Inside this window open the "Human Interface Devices" nest and find the entry "HID-compliant game controller". If you have more than one look in their Properties and find the one that displays "Location: on Razer Nostromo". When you've found the correct entry right click it and select "Disable" from the right-click drop down menu. And your done! With my experience even a reboot was not required. As far as I can tell I haven't lost any functionality from the Nostromo, even the d-pad is working. Also the Configurator's settings work. I hope this helps anyone else in a similar predicament! Cheers!

I want to know this too, I appreciate this fix but moving the camera around during conversations and the menu was fundamental for me, let alone during the fight with lautrec.
Edit: nevermind, just uncheck UI mouse on the fix's setup

Also doesn't work for me.
AWSD works fine. The mouse on the other hand does not work. I can't move the viewpoint around, and can't attack. DSFix works fine, but when I add DSMFix to the ini file it does not work at all. Did something happen to the DLL? corrupted perhaps? I have tried both versions with no luck.
Thanks

Figured I shed some light on some of the people below as I had the same issue.
What I had to do is go under your Device Manger and disable all my HID's. This is under the Human Interface Device aka HID.
Hope this helps, as I can now finally play this game.

This is great, but it won't register any changes I make via the exe file. I've even checked the ini file, and the controls are
mouse1=a
mouse2=g
mouse3=t
mouse4=u
mouse5=u
mouse1a=h
mouse2a=p
mouse3a=u
mouse4a=u
mouse5a=u
But everything still acts like the default in game (where mouse 1 is light attack and mouse 2 is heavy attacks). I've tried restarting the game to no avail, can anyone help?
