This has to be one of the worst lists I've ever seen. Firstly, Skyrim at no.7? Oh please, Minecraft is more RPG than Skyrim is.
This list is just a joke, tbh. No Witcher? No Dragon Age? Pfft. Did they really expect us to take this list seriously? I smell a successful troll.

How on earth did Fallout 3 get #10 and Fallout New Vegas get all the way down at #89? I just can't comprehend that.

This list is so bad. Fallout 1+2 were one of the greatest RPGs in the world, next to Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 10, Dragon Age 1+2, Mass Effect 1-3. I can't understand that Fallout 3 is on place 10, because this games sucks so bad against Fallout1+2. And by the way - it should be near to Fallout: NV, because it is the same game with another Map. Final Fantasy 7 on place 1? LOL. This game was good for playing it once, but that it was. Final Fantasy 7 isn't far as good as Final Fantasy 10. Pokemon on place 4? WTF? It's just good marketing, but did everyone ever compared Pokemon with a RPG like Mass Effect? Diablo 2 on number 6? Really? They are trolling us. Skyrim okay.. Skyrim is really one of the greatest RPG hits ever made. World of Warcraft is a really good game too. Chrono Trigger on place 2 - no no no no fkn way! Chrono Trigger is never better than Breath of Fire or... ALL games in the list. I never heard someone talking about that game - I played it, but it is never ever as good as Breath of Fire, and Breath of Fire isnt even as good as other games like Secret of Mana. Mass Effect 2 on place 57... behind Tactics Ogre and Monster Hunter Tri....WTF?! Then there are simulation-games like EVE Online... Have I to say anything more? The work and time of all these games in respect, but this list is so not real x)

Skyrim is a good game but it's quests or lack of decent quests that don't include a dungeon crawl is what really killed it for me, also yes... it does boast nice graphics but graphics don't make a game. The world may be beautiful but it just doesn't have enough good quests to make it feel alive... and I understand that people might say it's better than Oblivion but I think Skyrim and Oblivion are equal, though most people treat Skyrim like the second coming of Christ. It added nothing new to the Elder Scrolls series... Dragons are just another mob that aren't all that special.

Uhm, there is more than just Skyrim Nexus, or are you too busy kissing Skyrim's backside so much that it's mindblowing that some people don't like it? It doesn't make me a troll. Also, I said New Vegas was a great game, also Fallout 3 felt like a dead world to me, and neither games a pretty to look at.
Still think Baldur's Gate I & II are better games than all these ones listed.

@Pixeldust just try Two Worlds II before calling something beautiful [via Soundgarden]. At least half of the Steam users already got at least gtx560 so making a nice DX9 game that looks exactly like Fallout 3 isn't the best idea after all. Even Obsidian guys could do better

It pains me that Pokemon trumps Planescape: Torment in that list. Ugh.

pokemon shouldn't trump anything period.(it's crap in general and certainly doesn't qualify as an rpg in any form)

This is so stupid, as are all lists like this. But, I expected that, and it's actually kind of funny how bad it is.

I see Modern RPGs and JRPG were quite popular on that list, not something I agree with. Also some games with very light RPG features like Mass Effect made it to the list. not really agree with either. Should we have Call of Duty and Battlefield 3 on there as well? you have classes and levels there too.
I think that if you are rating a game, the multiplayer and modding capabilities should come into consideration, for example Neverwinter had great modding tools and the ability to host your own server, you don't really see that today in the market.
F:NV beign #89 is a joke, the game was outstanding, as good or better than Fallout 3
And I might get flamed for this but I really don't see MMORPGs as RPGs, many mechanics are sacrificed to make room for things like pets and raids, great NPCs and Storylines are replaced by internet trolls and kill 10 rats quests.
