Levitation/Flight was required in some of the towers in Morrowind.
Outside of a few flight scripts for Oblivion, Fallout 3, or Fallout New Vegas which use ObSE/FoSE and so on, I have not seen flight handled well.
Pure Levitation is possible using a modification in these flight scripts.
Good luck in the port to Skyrim of Morrowind.

Morroblivion's voice acting thread is for Morroblivion and Skywind.

To me, if you have to own morrowind in order to play this, I can't imagine that bethesda would care, if anything that will just sell more copies of morrowind!
I'd need to go buy morrowind again if this came out! I was surprised to hear that it even was going to require morrowind, I was more surprised that bethesda shut down the oblivion version...
Anyways I see this working out okay, although if they had it shut down once, why wouldn't they ask for permission to do it for skyrim before doing it?

Yeah, it's nice for screenshots, but other than that I don't get the point.
MGE looks almost as good, and the new game engine lacks a lot of the mechanics that made Morrowind (and even morroblivion) good. I.e. there's no weapon/armor condition, spell and item equipping works different, several equipment slots are missing, dialogue window is meant for voice acting now, speechcraft is almost totally useless now, the 2D map is gone and we have fast travel now, can't miss attacks, can't fail spellcasting, can't make own spells, enchanting is limited in comparison, etc...
Just "porting" the game world to Skyrim seems pointless. It will look only slightly nicer than MGE (the main differences are normal mapping, specular lighting, and more accurate shadows), and it will lose many of the mechanics that made it great.
So I say: poo on this...

@ 747823 Your points are rock solid, but because morrowind was the dopest game ever made, I say we all poo on you.
Any attempt to shine glory on that piece of art is well appreciated in my corner.

I was just saying like last week how cool it would be if Bethesda released a GOTY version of Morrowind with Skyrim quality graphics as a tenth anniversary homage to their best piece of work. My friends agreed that such a release would leave Skyrim in the dust. I've played Video games since the atari 2600 came out, but it was Morrowind that made me a truly hardcore gamer. I couldn't put it down, I dreamed about it when I slept,(Weird?? eh maybe) I loved that game and kept it til I got rid of my Xbox about a year after the 360 came out. I can't tell you how many times I played it from beginning to end doing every single quest. I've thought about rebooting it through steam a few times but I've been spoiled by modern graphics. Lame excuse, I know, but I think that's going to change. I really hope this come to pass. I've been looking for an RPG with the story and immersion that Morrowind brought to gaming, and have yet to find one that was nearly as enthralling. Dovahkiin or the Champion of Cyrodiil ain't got s*** on the Nerevarine.

Well, that sounds awesome! But get ready because in about 7 to 9 more months I may have the non-commercial game ready for free. I call it after Bethesda great work, (Of Course, I have to get their permission first) It will be called:
The Elder Scrolls: The Final Battle
It has taken me two years to combine several Tamriel maps and put them together when all of a sudden, I reached a new idea and light bulb went off in my head.
What would happen if another Oblivion Crisis were to happen? What if Cyrodiil, Hammerfell, Skyrim, Black Marsh, Vardenfell, Elsweyr, and more came together to shut this final and last Oblivion Battle down for good? Dragons with the Dragonborn, Champions of Cyrodiil, every country would have their heroes leading, including the Champion of the Imperial City arena.
This would not be the only battle either. It would be up to you to also shut down the Thalmor who blocked the worship of Talos.
Will you be the one to do it? Or will you walk away?
Remember, if I can get this out and with the permission of Bethesda, it will be free. I cannot profit on someone else's product.
What is your input?
