can't miss attacks, can't fail spellcasting,

Good enough reasons right here to finish this project.

I read the installation guide...i dont really have any idea of creating such nice things/mods/overhauls...but why so complicated?
Why not just make it as a huge content mod or "add-on" for oblivion/skyrim...like maybe, Moonpath to Elsweyr or like Shivering Isles?

If its not possible to make it easier, please explain it if you have time and patience for a newb^^

I really like the project so far...Morrowind was awesome even though it was buggy as crap and unstable, and non voiced conversations xD^^
Playing it with Skyrim engine would be great

thx

@ Papajack55, That would awesome. More TES is always better, and free is always great :)

Seeing this original post got me thinking along a similar line. Having all 5 TES games and expansions maps/quests, everything in one game, using the updated graphics of the creation engine, and playing through them as a single game with the same char, keeping all the unique powers, loot and such from each of the games as you move forward through the story.

Of course such a task would bring into question the time line of the actual events, being that they take place in different eras. Could it be the sandbox game that TES is know for?? Or would it have to be a linear path through each of the game's series to maintain lore??? Would making quests from the separate games playable in any order as one huge sandbox game just be too much to handle???? There would be many problems to tackle for sure, No matter what the end result would be, I would think that if the separate stories could progress in a believable manor this would be a concept people would go for. I just wish I had the skills to make it happen :(

@ Thaneize It's complicated because they haven't sorted through the files to see which ones belong to Skywind, and which files do not. It's not even in alpha yet.

That's pretty cool, but am I the only one who is plagued by the following question:
MODDERS, Y U NO MAKE SKYBLIVION?
Only my faith in this dream is still keeping Oblivion on my hard drive.

I have never played Morrowind before; watching my little brother play and looking at the graphics and the complete lack of ability to land a hit at all put me off it. But this shows real promise! I'd absolutely buy Morrowind just for this mod!

Carmelpoptart: Am I really the only one who LIKES being able to miss, fail at casting, and the like?

It makes it so you actually have to think about building a good character, instead of just sloppily doing whatever. Makes it more of an actual RPG...

I never played Morrowind either but I would buy a copy of the game if this mod comes out and is any good. I hear Morrowind is amazing. Sounds like an incredible amount of work though.

Morrowind is awesome. It sounds pretentious to say that it was a much more "hardcore" game, but it really was. No compass (you found your destination literally by use of directions and landmarks); no level scaling; no unkillable characters (killing an important NPC would trigger a popup that said, essentially, "Load a saved game or play a character that's screwed, bud").

There were more skills. More stats. A much more personal and in-depth character creation system. You had to sleep in beds to level up. You could get attacked while sleeping and waiting. There was no fast travel.

There was more freedom too: The cities, with one major exception, were all open. You could levitate. You had more control over crazy and exploitable spells. No respawning containers meant that you could kill whomever you wanted and occupy their house. You could taunt people into fighting with you (and kill them in self-defense). The creatures were more exotic. The landscape was more exotic. The main quest was longer and much more epic. There were several more factions to join, not even taking the three Great Houses into account.

In short, Morrowind was a brilliant game. It's lacking the graphics and AI (the latter of which is the hardest thing to get used to; it's strange seeing people stand in the same general place 24 hours a day) and the combat is hit or miss (see what I did there!) But Morrowind makes up for its shortcomings- nothing more than the restrictions of the day's technology, really- with more depth and personality.

Trust me: A modern version of this game is something that everyone here needs to play.

@MrGray They've started work on Skyblivion, but I think as of right now they're focusing their attention on Skywind first. EDIT: Here are some links that show that they have started work on Skyblivion. http://morroblivion....-to-skyrim/2621 http://morroblivion....-to-skyrim/2607
