3.Morroblivion was banned but quote: These legal issues have now been circumvented with mesh and texture replacers, and community development of the project is still going on here at (link removed).

The problem wasn't just meshes/textures, it's the transferring of any kind of game assets. If the mod still requires Morrowind to be installed there is still some kind of asset transferring going on, so I don't think Bethesda is going to approve of Skywind.

The original Morrowind game is not technically needed at all for Skywind to work. We just have an installer that makes sure the player has Morrowind installed and prevents players from playing Skywind without it. This is in place so people buy Morrowind, and don't end up with a free game. If you actually took a few seconds to read our FAQ, you'd know this your self.

I don't think Bethesda should be banning anything. It is unproductive and if they want the money, they could just pay ya guys off for it and then make the changes they see fit and make an expansion from that. I mean, it is easy and it is easy money. Anyone with any business intellect would have already done such. So for Bethesda not to have already consider such an investment in paying or hiring you guys to make more expansion mods for them, they really are hurting their own business and how much success and profit they could have achieved otherwise. Quite sad, truly.

seldalore@ saint nerevar reborn, the dragonborn, hero of kvatch and champion of Cyrodiil õ/ (oblivion in skyrim's engine is also in the making by the same team, they are just focusing in morrowind first)

This is good news. I've always meant to download MorrOblivion but Skyrim was quite literally just around the corner when I felt content enough with Oblivion and Shivering Isles to install it. The fact that this is coming out within a year of Skyrim's release is great, which means plenty of time to enjoy it once it's finished (note, I'm only going to download it once it's finished.)

Can anyone tell me if you could go between Cyrodill and Morrowind at will in Oblivion and if we'll most likely be able to in this version? I'm assuming we can since it's on the Eastern boundary of Skyrim.

Awesome will have to keep an eye on Skywind. Looks like a final release sometime in 2013. Also understand the team is looking into adding The Elder Scrolls Oblivion at a later date. Sure glad I held onto Morrowind and the Elder Scrolls. Will make for a massive game if all are merged. WOW.........................................Don't see why Bethesda would want to ban this. You have to have both Morrwind and Skyrim for this to work. Oh well will have to see what happens.

I agree beth is rediculus for killing morrowblivion because in an interview for skyrim they were asked why they included the world spaces for those areas in the skyrim engine and they said 1. it makes a great backdrop and 2. because modders will use it! so why the hell would they ban a project that they want people to persue
