thelionzheart1
If any of you are familiar with the game Just Cause 2, you'll remember the incredible distant LOD it had, and the blur shader used to give a nice DOF effect. The Morrowind Mod "MGE" had a nice Distant Blur shader as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEdD-suPB48 My question is are there any mods out there for Skyrim that have this effect? I know there is Dynavision and ENB DoF, but these techniques are really only good for focusing on very near objects, I don't think it by default blurs the distant terrain at all. LargeStyle
The "close object focus" is really just dynamic depth of field, and it sounds like you want static depth of field which is more global / environmental dof. Dynavision has an option for static dof, but it admittedly isn't a particularly strong effect. ENBs can have the dof adjusted within the enbeffectprepass.fx file, this can provide a very nice dof effect that spans across vast scenery shots. The Nexus member Matso has written the best ENB dof code, so perhaps check out his work. Skyrims internal engine has dof within it, but IMHO it isn't used very well. This effect can be adjusted within the Imagespace settings in Creation Kit. I came across a mod once which claimed that it made dof more prominent, but I thought it was also somewhat weak. I'm working on a visual mod for Skyrim right now, and have been experimenting with dof recently, of which I grabbed a quick piccy to demonstrate my point. http://imageshack.us/a/img594/9776/tesv2012100800035488.jpg

LargeStyle
Actually, in-game DoF isn't good at all. That previous post of mine is getting on for being one year old, and I've long since given up internal DoF rendering - ENB is much much better for this.
