Anyone have any luck with getting this working for EW?

I'm holding off on playing until I can manage to get this mod working :(

Same here, waiting for a mod like this, before I carry on playing.

Hey guys, I might have got it working. I simply replaced the defaultengine.ini file in "X:\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XComGame\Config" with the defaultengine.mod by changing it to an .ini file and then backed up the original defaultengine.ini. I don't know 100% if it is working, but I'm playing on classic and the aliens seem to be critical shooting me WAY less and seem to be missing a lot more.

Umm.  EW files are found under "..\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\Config".  And you should check for at least EW additions to the original DefaultEngine.INI file.

In response to post #10274742.

I tried to install it with the installer, but I noticed no difference in gameplay. So I checked the defaultenginecore.ini file against the .mod file for it and noticed the original file had not been changed. That's when I manually installed it. I also realised that doing this may have no effect on new EW units. I also checked the EW defaultenginecore file and noticed it didn't contain a lot of the contents of the vanilla/mod defaultenginecore file, so I guessed that it must be still using the orginal xcom: eu defaultenginecore aswell as the ew one.

But who knows, it could just be a placebo effect.

Sadness :(
Bought the DLC and feeling a tad annoyed and regretful! Maybe someday this'll work again.
