I would like to see larger squad choices, or at least the ability to assist a failing squad with additional troops exiting from the 'skyranger'.
I do think huge squads would overrun the fairly limited map sizes they have, but only having upto 6 men to save an entire city (well city block)
seems lame.
I think the world governments would have a few more men to send to defend the earth.
I did enjoy the orginal xcom, troops are expendable, here they seem too critical to overall success, it would make battles feel epic, not like a skrimish.

Indeed, you would either still win the mission even though you did terribly or have everyone in your barracks get killed and pretty much game over.
It could work if you limited the number of reinforcements to say 4 guys. They would probably be taken from the top of the barracks list.
Something like that will not be doable until we get a way to repack UPKs.
I like the idea of upping the Skyranger capability better.
