Hello there.
Thank you for your work on tweaking the game for higher end systems. Some of those options really should be available for players to choose from the begining. Though, I have a question for you or for anyone that's willing to give me some advice.
I'm interested in adding only your PhysX and Tessellation to my game. I'm fine with vanilla textures, shadows and other effects. I can do some minor tweaking myself (when it comes to Unreal Engine, mostly shadows and texture filtering) So, I somewhat know how to handle editing .ini files.
Which lines should I change to do so?
Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

Where do you place the "BaseEngine.ini" file?

@newvegasplayer
under XCom-Enemy-Unknown\Engine\Config\ you will find the BaseEngine.ini. Make sure you make a backup
then copy the .ini-file from the rar there. overwrite. done

I have a question, I hope that anyone who reads it will send me a private message with the answer - I have windows XP and play using the trick with kernel/zernel that KawaiiSara posted on steampowered forum - will all the mods work good for me or not. Hope for quick answer, becouse I don't download anything, fearing what might happen.

No offence but alt-tabbing from my game to your screen shots, it looks as though the quality of your game is far worse than mine, I'm running the game at 1920x1080 resolution on an HDMI IPS 23inch monitor with a Sapphire Radeon HD6670 GFX card using an HDMI cable, no shity VGA or DVI cable.
On top of that the shadow quality in your character customize screenshots looks terrible, are you using an Nvidia gfx card? cause they have always had a long history of having trouble rendering shadows, few years ago I got a GeForce 210 Silent thinking that maybe they fixed their shadow rendering issues 3 days after using it the shader clock got damaged went from 1402 MHz down to 900 MHz permanently, on top of that it made the game Oblivion look like something out of the stone age compared to my older Ati card cause it couldn't even do HDR rendering and yet my Ati card was released 2 years earlier than it.

@Halorath
...I want your computer, I want it so bad...
On a serious note I agree, although I can see some definite improvements it hasn't really shown through as that much of a boost, but than you don't claim it to be a drastic graphical overhaul. Anyways I will try it out and come back after actually applying it and testing it out.
