The idea that getting gravely wounded breaks down your will more than anything else seems off to me...
Usually in the time of war, what breaks down your mental state is seeing OTHERS be gravely wounded or killed.

My thoughts were that panic should whittle down your willpower... not wounds.

So is it possible to change what causes will to go down and by how much?

A smaller loss of willpower each time you panic would be better in my opinion since it represents battle fatigue and the slow decay of the will after having numerous breakdowns on the battlefield.

Im not very well versed in modding xcom so i dont really know where to start, but if its possible just point me in the right direction and i can do it myself

Dunno, maybe this could be made random? If a guy gets shot and almost dies he might get traumatized really badly, depends on person I guess.
