She's Orlesian, they have massive rococo influences and grandure appearance due to money (don't expect Thedas to be a medieval simulator). She is mostly likely was to become the First Enchanter of the Montsimmard before the breakup of the circle. I wonder if Varric would tease her about the hat
Edit: One more thing, Vivienne is human and black. If you are confused why the top half of her face is white, it's because of the damned hat

Know what I think a big twist will be in future DA games? I reckon that the Inquisition will become so powerful that they eventually end up as the antagonists, meaning that you will have to fight your army that you built up in DAI.
Just something that occurred to me.
Also the graphics are looking fantastic and I really hope my laptop can run it well. I haven't played a game using any Frostbite engines yet so I don't know how it would go. Might have to upgrade...

I'm actually thinking more of Qunari invasion of Thedas, with the fall of the Imperium. Considering that it is cross gen, the graphics are pretty scalable I assume.

Probably. Since the Qunari were in the trailer, they probably have some role to play early on. With the direction they've been heading, it seems like they are intended to be full-on enemies pretty soon.
Still, I think that the Inquisition will become too powerful for its own good and eventually end up getting corrupt or something, which would be interesting to fight against.
Yeah, I'm pretty pedantic about my graphics and fps - must be 45fps+ at all times and look good.

Got some mixed news; Morrigan will feature a major role in the game, but she will NOT be a party member. Maybe that's good for some people, but that's a bummer for me.
(On the bright side, that frees up a party slot for a potentially great new character.)
And now I'll just hope doubly-much that Merrill makes a return. ![]()

I mentioned this on the first page but thanks for the link.

Most likely a lot of the characters in previous games will return, just not as companions.

David Gaider has said in the past that the only way that characters would return as companions again is that there is more to that character, for example Anders and his passive/aggressive nature towards to current mage/templar issue which was hinted in Awakening. Obviously the higher ups thought that there is more to Varric that meets the eye and hence why he is a companion and why Morrigan is not (even though we will see her as a major NPC). Also there is a major DA:I panel at Pax Prime with Mike Laidlaw (DA Creative Director) and Mark Darrah (DA Executive Producer). Obviously some nexus folk are going, so lucky you. Also I have a new concept art for you guys. I would usually paste it up but nexus has a thing against twitter linking for some reason, sorry. As with all new concept art, there is some writing to go with it and I'm sorry that I didn't post it earlier. The caption with this concept art is: "In the absence of light, shadows thrive".
