SO excited for Dragon Age Inquisition. Especially after they confirmed the open world setting and that we'd get to choose our own race again. On the downside, my interest in Elder Scrolls has almost completely evaporated as a result of these announcements. As much as I like a big world to explore I really need a good story to tie it all together. To give all of your adventures context. Compared to Oblivion, Skyrim was a considerable step back in that regard IMHO.

 

Inquisition will offer Bioware's storytelling, which is MILES better than Bethesda's , plus a rich open world to explore. A world inspired by Tolkien I might add, which I definitely prefer over Elder Scrolls. Pretty much the ultimate package as far as I'm concerned.

 

As for news, we should be getting another peak into the game sometime today. Can't wait!

DA series is actually inspired by Game of Thrones and D&D. You can see that with some of the cast and lore. Thanks for being super excited.

D&D was influenced by a great deal, Tolkien arguably being among those things. Game of Thrones was undoubtedly inspired by Tolkien's work on the other hand, and Martin has no problem admitting so.

That’s what I wanted to do too. I wanted to start with a tight focus on a few characters and one place in the world, and as the story is told, the world will continue to get bigger and bigger and more people get drawn into the conflict,” Martin told the Detroit Free Press.

 

The Samwell Tarly character was rather obviously inspired by Samwise Gamgee for example. But I'm quibbling at this point really.

Hmm so far they make it sound most appealing, even if half of it is true. Though I hope we learn more about Flemeth and Morrigan as these two were the greatest mystery to me so far.
