@wolfleader6
Thanks for the info wolf. I just tell AVG to temporarily disable for 5 minutes before playing and it works fine. Glad it's nothing serious.
On a side note, this mod is AMAZING! It's funny how something seemingly so small as a retexture of weapons and armour make such a massive difference.

Thanks all, glad you guys like it.
I feel I have to say though /Rambling warning/: The original textures are not bad at all, relatively easy to work with, decent uv mapping, not too hard to separate the different model parts, bit of inconsistency here and there with the material settings (but its nothing compared to the usual..). I have no problem with the resolution either (expect maybe the sniper rifle so far). The art work is well done and easy to retexture without having to redraw the whole thing. What I changed is only the style but the base is the same. It'd be nice though if they fixed the helmets.. (but don't hold your breaths, It works with vanilla, they probably won't care about the rest). /Okay end of rambling.. :D/

Could you export one of the armors, and write in here the ID from the log and the name of the armor texture type, gender it belongs to, ect. So I can compare with my list. Also maybe you could try changing the texture and testing if it works than. Btw I tried uMod and it crashes my game too. both the new and the old one.

@kolt16
Alright, so I manged to export basic female kevlar chest armor. The log file says 0x0A3FE603 if that's what you were asking.
And when I tried to change this texture and repack tpf archive it worked, the texture has changed. So I guess for some reasons my texture addresses are screwed up. Is there any way to fix this?

Yep thats different than mine. Unfortunately I have no idea why, or how to fix it.
I'll take a look at the .tpf files, maybe it's possible to change the addresses with some basic hex editing, if not and, if you are willing to bother, I'll give you a list to fill in with addresses and make a tpf with those.
Another alternative would be to upload the textures but I'd like to avoid that, since they are based on original game assets. (doubt anyone would try to use them for anything else, but I don't want the devs to take steps against texmod usage )

hm, looks like its not compatible with any mods like Warspace or others that modifies the .exe, just tried several things, renaming texmod is no option, cause that will load the game via steam (on or offline doesnt matter) but without the "balance" mods just the vanilla game with the retexture. so its rather good looking soldiers or better gameplay... ow

Ugh somehow first comment not showing, anyway i got it to work with warspace, just installed warspace, steam offline, then military texture, but sometimes i need to finish a mission first, or sometimes i have to start the game again for it show, its kinda weird, inconsistent.
But when it works it works like a charm, only thing is the second helmet (tanky looking one) only shows bland colour, but only during gameplay with a birdeye view. While at the base or during close up combat cams the helmet shows the military textures, weird.

Do you have any plans for retexturing plasma weapons? These are great reskins, but it will look awkward to be running in tactical black armor, while still toting shiny silvery plasma weapons. If our forces are manufacturing our own versions of alien weaponry, they should have a uniform appearance to our choices in armor.
