I just hope they will fix most gamebreaking issues someday and don't leave it "unfinished". Still interested in their new DLC.

@veepirate.........it was to point out that size does make a difference. It's bad enough that you can run up and kill a gigantic armored dragon with a sword which would be the equivalent of a small child trying to stab you with a plastic knife. Having your character running along the back of a dragon while its moving around and especially flying would just be stupid looking. At least with Shadows of the Colossus some of the giants had hair that the hero could grab and hold on to that is not even the case with dragons. It just looks silly and over the top.
Riding a dragon isn't a problem because your character is stationary and would be maintaining a constant grip on the horns or whatever you would grab onto instead of flailing around and jumping all over the place like in Colossus. Epic can be over done and frankly it just gets old after awhile. My guy can't even get onto many of the rooftops of houses yet he should be able to do back flips and run along the back of a flying dragon?
I would suggest trying out Mighty Dragons specifically the nightmare version along with the mod that adds mulitple dragons and you will get some hectic fights.

If it adds a new landspace/world, then I'll buy it. Otherwise, no.
That's why I didn't buy Dawnguard. Skyrim is enough cramped up as it is.
Solstheim would be cool to revisit, but I will be hoping for something else. I mean, I've already been there. It's always more exciting and interesting to visit something completely new, I think.

@nathanj Medieval lore about mounted guys killing dragons with lances... so where are those lances? You wouldn't go on foot and use a sword against an armored target who can swallow a horse, there are more convenient weapons for that.

@ nathanj thanks ill give it a look
but thats exactly my point dragon fighting is already weird and clunky, hacking away with your sword manically at a creature ten times your size, its kind of dull. i would welcome anything to enhance dragon combat, and the whole realism thing is a poor argument against it, that can just as well be tossed out the window
.
if anything you could always receive some mcguffin item that would allow you to latch yourself onto the beast, like spiked shoes or the very horns you were talking about. now i dont think the game engine would allow you to crawl around on it, but you could latch on to a predetermined area on the dragon and tear it to pieces from there.
i really dont see anything immersion breaking in that, especially compared to what is already there, which like you said is a lot like a child with a plastic sword hacking away at a tank. In fact it would make more sense to position yourself somewhere where the irate lizards teeth cannot reach you, on its back or on its head!
but my greatest argument for it, is the awesome of hanging on for your dear life while the aforementioned raging iguana was flailing through the skys in an effort to shake of its (literally) bite sized assassin.
sigh i dont even know why we are discussing this, i cannot sincerely believe that beth would ever implement something like that, it would take too much work on adding mechanics and animations. then again if they can make ride-able dragons than this should be within their capabilities. but on the othre hand i don't think they are imaginative enough to pull it off. if you look at the dlc most of it has been covered by mods at some point and the rest is morrowind fan pandering, don't get me wrong i love the pandering
and will defiantly get the dlc, but even a fanboy like me can recognize lack of creativity. the only original thing i could spot in dawnguard was the whole vampire lord transformation.
EDIT: when i say lack of creativity i mean in regards to the game itself and not storylines and quests

Well, since the wall wasn't on elderscrollsonline.com, it's most likely Skyrim... but we already know about the Chitin from hints in data files. That post is from a normal member who didn't source the info... that's really tacky news. I mean, it's good news, but bad reporting.
