Looks good but I despise online play. If this was a single player and in first person and not turn based combat I might just get it but since it's a Multiplayer, I wont be getting it. Pity I would've liked to explore tamriel, not to worry I'll just wait until The Elder Scrolls 6-7-8 come out.

the ambient looks amazing...
Never played on-line...will it be free or not?

probably not at first, I guess it depends on how popular it is... a lot of MMOs have gone down the free to play root nowadays.. though I am a bit fed up of MMOs, this one has peaked my interest!

No, it will tank like Swtor. Why anyone in their right minds still desire to develop a MMO is totally beyond me. Kingdoms of Amalur didn't even make it past the proof of concept game (which was actually not half bad)
The main draw is for TES-fans and while that may seem enough to have a flying start (big maybe), we have to realise that TES is pretty much a niche genre.
We all can agree that MMO's are on the decline and that's not because the studios have the wrong idea, but it is because of the very fact that they are MMO's, forcing people to put up with other people, who in turn have to put up with other people too.
That entire idea that the experience is heightened when you lump random people together without giving anyone the chance to play at their own pace or whatever and expecting them to be friendly and touchy feely towards other people because, hey, this is the global village, is a line of thinking that really only still exists with developers.
In my years of MMO-ing I have noticed that the more people are present, the less fun the game becomes. It even gets worse if you're depending on other people to achieve basic gamegoals like defeating a mini-boss. (begging in LFG-channels, begging in your guild and sitting idle for two hours getting nowhere)
What will TESO offer that other MMO's don't? Crafting? Mining? Fishing? Forging? Ninja-looters? A bank? PvP? Exploration? Guildleaders who are total (insert explicit)? People who are totally unable to operate in groups and are socially inept to the point of terminal aspergers?
Oh wait, maybe, events! Collecting 10.000 items to create a on-off something that only works during the event. And even then you need people who have collected the 10.000 items too, so you have a chance of defeating the event-boss.
All I see is a name and a different visual style. In order to be sold on TESO, I need to see in depth vids of gameplay, mechanics, timesinks and the social structure of it. Otherwise it's just old wine in new barrels.

You're all lying to yourselves if you're not the least curious about this game - personally I can't wait to explore all of Tamriel.
So much hate on a game that honestly doesn't look as though it deserves it. I was rather hoping for a first person view though!
No hate here, just opinion. Opinion isn't hate, you do know that, right? If it was first person, I'd try it. We all know it doesn't duplicate the ES experience, so why set it there? I wonder what audience they are after... I think it looks great, the combat looks old, the third person leave me cold. There are plenty of gamers (ILOTR, WOW, etc., ) who will really love this, especially because of the social aspects.

No, I'm really not. I've been an avid TES fan for years and I'd be perfectly willing to play TESO if it interested me. It doesn't.
I'm fairly well fed up with MMOs in general though. The only exception being The Secret World, because it offered something fresh. I'm really really tired of fantasy MMOs. I didn't realize just how much until I started playing TSW. GW2 has collected dust, barely played, even though I pre-paid it many months before its release. The genre is just so tired.
I wish TESO all the luck though. I don't hate it at all but as of right now, I truly couldn't care less about it, which is very unusual for me when it comes to anything having to do with the Elderscrolls.

This looks very interesting. I like MMO's and Single Player but I do prefer MMO's for the social aspect. I like the character customization and I like the look of the world. The combat system could use some work but it's very difficult to do that in MMO's. I'll definitely try it. Some people prefer single player go at your own pace games and that's fine too but you don't need to bash the MMO version either. Both have their merits. Hell, I'm still very, very good friends with people I played WoW with even though I stopped playing 2 years ago. MMO's are super fun when you find a good group of people to enjoy them with.
At those of you wanting first person in MMO's... you really don't want that at all. For PvP purposes alone. You have no peripheral vision- it would never work well.
I do agree with the person who requested a LAN option for the TES series. Blizzard did this with their "single player" games- why not Beth?

Looks f***ing Awesome, was watching another video of someone who played it and its left click to swing and right to block and moveing the mouse to look around just like the rest of the Elderscrollls series all I can say is I cant f***ing wait, with this mmo you can actually apply skill unlike any others it seems, dodge, block, swing itll will be intense with the scal of people that can potentially be in a fight, sounds and looks f***in Epic cant wait this is all I ever wanted multiplayer Elderscrolls and at this scale even f***in better
