I may already be too far away from reality... The first thing I thought when you said "Armistice" was the Armistice in Morrowind.

A year ago today I was really frustrated. I had a Skyrim release party and my 3 friends got it for xbox and played the whole night through while I waited for Steam to download the game. I had bought it on cd but Steam doesn't automatically install from CD and I didn't know you could force it to. 8 hours later, I had slept 2 hours and watched while everyone else was adventuring around. When it finally downloaded, files were corrupt and so I had to quit playing to verify the game cache. It was terrible.
After that though, modding has more than made up for that first night. My xbox friends all now wish they had it for pc because of the mods (and for my ps3 buddy, for the DLC).
My favorite mods include the Level Uncapper by Elys, PISE level scaling, Uncapped Perks, LFox werewolf improvements, and Fast Travel from Anywhere.
The patches, DLC, and modding have all made the game better. While Skyrim doesn't feel as magic as it did that first month playing it, I'm continuing to grow in my understanding of the CK, and through it I'm still discovering new parts of Skyrim.

Pass me the Alto wine... No, screw Blackbriar, I want Nord mead!
j/k... As I've been in the game for some 560+ hours, here's to a year's worth of Skyrim, bugs and all! Cheers!
OBTW, best mod I ever used was Home Construction and Decoration, which was fun making my own estate, or remaking and equipping some of my favorite homes and hidey-holes. )

Happy Birthday Skyrim!
Man, after one year and all the great DLC and mods that have come out, think of what is still to come!
Best mod: SkyUI. Can't play without it!

Considering how almost every other game released is completed thru and thru within 3 days makes Skyrim a great game worth the money, each time I saw something I wanted to complain about I remembered this. Long after the games that were release at the same time as Skyrim launch their sequels ppl will still be playing this game. So Happy B. Day

I remember the day well. I was playing City of Heroes (which is closing at the end of the month
) and one of my team mates was going on about it was so many hours till the Skyrim launch. I asked him what that was and he said, "The Greatest RP game ever." So when midnight rolled around I went to Steam and downloaded it and started playing at around 3 in the mourning. Been loving it ever since with over 1300 hours (according to Steam). Still impressed with the amazing scenery.
Favorite mods are of course 'eye candy' stuff, Calientes Big Bottom edition, Bathing beauties luxury suite, and all the crafting stuff and improved maps. Also a tip of the hat to all the great modders out there. So a great big HAPPY 1st ANNIVERSARY SKYRIM and many more to come!

was kinda disappointed in the beginning, but that changed when the first 1000 mods came
Had fun laughing at my xbox buddys as they saw some pics of my game x)
the best mod.... long list
but definitely War in Skyrim, PerkUp, Cerwiden, SkyUI, and the new Vilja
