We’ve already got two articles up in the news looking back on Skyrim and celebrating its one year anniversary, but I just wanted to make a quick article celebrating one year of Skyrim mods on Skyrim Nexus, and to dissect the publically available site stats information to publicise some sensationalist figures. Because I kind of like doing it myself from time to time, and I thought I’d share my findings.
By applying some simple maths to the stats we can work out some pretty interesting stuff. Using 365 days in a year, and 86,400 seconds in a day, lets get cracking.

Since Skyrim’s release we’ve had over 2.17 million new members join the Nexus network. While Skyrim can’t take credit for all those registrations, it can take credit for a large proportion of them. Similarly, many people forget that the Creation Kit didn’t actually come out until 3 months after the release of Skyrim, in February 2012, so we’ve only had 9 months of CK goodness so far. So no folks, Skyrim modding certainly isn’t dying. Frankly I think the best is yet to come.

The only reason I'm still playing Skyrim right now is because of mods. Thank you guys for making such a wonderful website.

Been a member since nexus was one site and home to 2 games, morrowind and oblivion. Skyrim was a big deal for me when it came out and these sites continue to make it a big deal.
post em if you got em.

i dont have a copy (we do them digitally) but i managed to take a week off for release. 30 hours, and i still hadnt touched a questline, 80 before i started the mainquests. in that week, i clocked over 100+ hours of gameplay. why oh why would i leave bachelorhood behind...

Mods lead the way!
After playing mods from here, I tried to go back to play 100% vanilla when Dawnguard came out on Xbox. I found it virtually impossible to keep it up. Even if I only had texture and non-player enhancing mods I just can't play without them anymore. Thanks to this site and community Skyrim is still my daily fix.
My Xbox has not even been plugged back in and because of Skyrim Nexus I have converted into a total PC player now which has opened me up to all kinds of games I never played before on consoles.

Your calculations are correct if one assumes a 365 days per year.
HOWEVER, 2012 has been an off year, therefore februari had an extra day, meaning the first year of Skyrim has had 366 days.
Now do it again!
(In the event that it wasn't clear, just messing with ya, the numbers are impressive!)
