miraclefreak very nice mod, it adds very nice things in this game :-)
I think there is a problem with the arc-thrower, it is still used in the standard item slot, not in the pistol slot I fear.
Did you changed this feature back to normal?

You did a great work with this mod, man! The leveling of the soldiers is really balanced, as so are the weapons. The non-reloading laser weapons was the best, making them really worthwile, specially for supression. Keep it up the good work! I really think I can't play the game without your mod now!

Whenever I try to play it, steam seems to reinstall the old original XCOM exe file. So when I start the game nothing is modded. How to get around this please? Thanks.

Tried offline Steam and everything else and it just wont work. So I'm running patcher.bat in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\Binaries\Win32
Small window pops up and closes. I start the game in various ways and the game is vanilla. Help please?

At first I had a little trouble. The mod didn't install. I put the files on the right folder, and nothing! Then I executed the .exe file (not the .bat), as ADMINISTRATOR. That solved it! Ah, you have to be off-line, to avoid Steam updating your xcomgame.exe file.

Really nice mod with a great overall balance, it seems. I like that the rockets and grenades remain useful even later on in the game and having two slots on heavy armor makes the game that much more tactical.
I didn't manage to play it through yet because the difficulty (on Classic Ironman) made an insane jump just after Alien Base. Before I could finish most missions with 1-2 losses with veteran team, including the Alien Base, but afterwards I was swarmed by a dozen Mutons or other "heavy" aliens on every abduction mission, plus super accurate Thin Mans who could out-shoot my snipers literally from halfway across the map. The difference to before the Alien Base mission was huge. The early game was easier with YAXO than with vanilla on the same difficulty.
Also if you don't start the game with Steam in Offline mode it doesn't work right.

I think the only reason it is possibly easier in the early game is because grenades are stronger.
