can someone make a mod file for me? everytime i try to install mod via defaultcore.ini i get error and will the save editor soon be fix

Bokauk..one thing in vanilla EW that really annoyed me was the paucity of UFOs that landed or were shot down. UFO4 was one of those huge ones (?abduction/terror) which are quite impossible to get with 4 Avalanche interceptors. Exalt came along in  just after the third month and due to the lack of UFOs (3) I had almost no alloy and very few weapon pieces and IMHO at classic the game was much more difficult(probably due to the masochists all whinging in 2K forums) than EU.

 

Obviously, satellite coverage increases UFO detection(or it should but even in vanilla old EU it does NOT seem to do so (4 out of 5 UFOs shot down in three months despite 6 satellites.

So ther is a coding problem with the availability of UFOs especially in EW where the items seem much more scarce.

 

So...one extra Toolboks feature would be more frequently available UFO interceptions, In the old game after a year I had only 25 which was about 2/month and by then I had full satellite coverage(in EU that is).

 

In desperation in EW I left two countries without satellites just to try and suck in UFOs but it only slightly helped.

 

The Long war concept of interceptors gaining experience(and hence ability increases) is also IMHO a desirable feature.

 

Sorry about these but Toolboks is very rapidly making most other mods obsolete/unnecessary and these could be the icing : )

I've often felt that some of the special missions came too early, or too close together. Slingshot for example... I can handle the first one, collecting Zhang, but the second on the train (especially before the new meld options) was devastating, and, the third mission was quite a lot to handle so early on (I tend to play on unmodded classic difficulty and was otherwise mostly handling the small ufos common at that time) I almost always lose a person or two on the first bomb disarm mission as well, having to rush and take a running risk. I'd rather save such a big undertaking for later in the game, without feeling like I'm ignoring the council when I shouldn't be. So yeah, pacing... exalt can be insanely brutal as well if you haven't collected enough resources or Science yet. But rather than, or in addition to more UFOs, maybe there's a way to delay certain missions, as an optional choice?

Maybe could you release in a first time, a version with some options very expected like recruitments priorities ....

But you decide, of course. Your work about Xcom is wonderfull, and I imagine how it's difficult
