I'd love to see the perk tree builder re-implemented for Enemy Within - it's one of my favorite components of ToolBoks. The save file editor's perk assignment would be great to have, too. Is there anything we can do to help out, or is it simply a matter of finding the right values to change? I'd be happy to donate my time tracking down values, etc. I really appreciate your excellent work, and I hope you keep it up.

Does disabling the auto-zoom not work properly with EW? Every action I make (movement, overwatch, heal, etc) still auto-zooms back to the default setting whether I'm manually zoomed in or out. It's not really a big deal because the mod allows me adjust my own preferred default zoom amount (I like it pulled out a bit over the original) so I'm not constantly having to tweak that as much anymore. But I'm not sure if it's supposed to be doing something else and isn't or what, I thought it was supposed to keep whatever zoom setting you manually adjust to in the game and not constantly auto-zoom to the default, like a real free camera. The "Free Aiming Zoom" slider only seems to affect rockets and not grenades, too. Unless I'm missing something there as well. With a setting of 2.5, nades zoom in and rockets zoom out. If that's normal then nevermind!

Love the free rotation mode and ability to set the default camera zoom, though! Thanks! That always bugged me in Enemy Unknown and it's been better in Enemy Within thanks to your mod!

This is totally unrelated to the tookboks but the other thing that really bothered me which I doubt can be changed at all is how holding the MMB doesn't pan the camera around when you move the mouse, you have to use WASD or edge scrolling to pan. That's such a top down or isometric strategy type game standard to do the camera panning and pulling with the mouse itself and a button toggle, inverted or otherwise. Seems like a waste for simply control the camera zoom in / out here instead.  The edge and WASD scrolling feel clunky compered to the drag and pan methods of most other games. I remember preferring the gamepad at some point because it felt more natural and fluid to pan around with the analog stick.

In response to post #10924439.

You can actually change the perk trees yourself in DefaultGameCore.ini quite easily. They are toward the bottom and all you have to do is copy/paste/cut until you have the trees you want.

I think that section was removed from DGC.ini in Enemy Within, which I'm assuming is why the option is not available in ToolBoks. My EW DGC.ini has the following categories:
Armors
Characters
Weapons
BalanceMods*
SoldierStatProgression
Funding*
ContBalance*
Game Variables (About 300 lines of variables)
ItemBalance
FacilityBalance
FoundryBalance
OTSBalance
TechBalance

And that's it. I assume it was removed because it's been combined with the new MEC and Gene classes, since I'm pretty sure the Psi class was in with the standard Squad classes before. So now I'm just searching in vain for the class entities. Can you verify that you have EW and your DGC.ini still contains all of the class perks?

I think the answer you are looking for ("was it removed?") can be found in the 'DefaultGameCore.INI Perk entries' section of the 'XCOM:EU Perks' wiki article.  EW moved them to another section: 'SoldierPerkTree'.

Yes, Enemy Within DefaultGameCore.ini, Perks, Trees.
The very last section in my DefaultGameCore.ini (located in Steam/steamapps/common/XCom-Enemy-Unknown/XEW/XComGame/Config) is "[XComGame.XComPerkManager]" and that contains the perk trees.
I was just poking around yesterday and found it. If it's not "supposed to be" there then I can only imagine that either Rig the Roulette Wheel or Reset and Reroll - Perk Trees Unlocked added that section to do their dark magic.

Is there any way that you could put a link up for 1.6.0, since the new updates do not work for previous versions? There are certain mods or 'fixes' from the initial release of the game posted around various corners of the internet that I would like to push forward to the current version of the game so everyone could use them, and the only reliable mod I've found that makes everything quicker is this one, so it would be a great help if I also had a way to speed up the previous game as well, but I only have the most recent version of your ToolBoks.

People think... This tool actually hacks the game files - yes it is powerful... and dumb AV is afraid of it.
That being said it would be really smart and polite to edit the first false alarming bullsh* message.
