Is there any other way to edit save files?

 

Because this mod is too outdated with current version of the game and I can't get wghost81's method to work( and from reading mod description, it's lot more limiting too).

Save file editing was experimental feature anyway and didn't allowed to actually edit a save, just view some things.

You are apparently using "heuristics" in your AV program.  You will have that problem with any XCOM mod because they all have to modify the EXE file at some point at least once, which "heuristics" treat as "malware" activity.  Scan downloads, but turn AV off while playing XCOM, which should be in "offline" mode with mods anyway.

I got Toolboks to work... in a very silly way. Went to my Toolboks folder and replaced files in the xcom folder with the backups Toolboks made.

HAVING SO MUCH FUN RIGHT NOW.

false alarm, xcom won't start when backups are used ;_;
