So the kids in lamplight are just a bunch of, well, kids. But there's one in there that has something I want! Eclaire, the cook; he wears a ragamuffin top hat. That is one fearsome hat! I tried using player.additem and its code, but even though it says I have the item in the top left of the screen, it is not in my inventory to select.

Can someone make a mod that adds this to the adult inventory?

After reading it, it looks like it only works if you use the console to set your character to use a child avatar.

Well, I tried it out myself, and it works even though I don't have a child avatar, but it doesn't sit well on the head. It's too high up. But I know I've seen an adult character with a top hat in a screenshot. Don't know how it was done. Look at this one.
