Open up your enbseries.ini (or press shift+enter to bring up the ENB console on more recent ENB versions) and adjust your settings for Ambient Lighting Intensity Interior and Ambient Lighting Curve Interior to something that's easier on the eyes without totally breaking immersion. Adjust Intensity upwards and Curve downwards to brighten your interiors.

Note that most ENBs will have separate daytime and nighttime interior settings, and some dungeons will always use the nighttime setting. Also, Curve tends to change the lighting really dramatically, so adjust it a little bit at a time until you find a setting that works for you.

Here are my ENB settings for interiors:

AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorDay=1.4
AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorNight=1.0
AmbientLightingCurveInteriorDay=0.5
AmbientLightingCurveInteriorNight=0.75

Those are fairly bright settings for daytime, while still leaving some shadow depth at night. Adjust in increments until you find what works for you.

Well, Skyrim has a medieval thematic, taverns were visited by many people at the age and there were all kinds of people, those weren't the most cleaned places and the lighting were pretty low too, that's what I'm aiming for since Skyrim doesn't create a dramatic interior ambient mood.

Hey, love the mod. Any chance it is compatible with Expanded Towns and Cities?

If not, any chance of a compatibility patch?

EDIT:
After looking around a bit, it seems the "No Inns" version of ETaC is almost perfectly compatible with ELFX, the only place both of the mods modify is the Riverwood Traders.

But it'd still be swell if the new ETaC houses and inn layouts could be ELFX'd.

Yes I have Immersive Interiors installed. I use NMM to install my mods sorting with BOSS 2.1.1 and clean mods with TES5Edit (if needed)

My lighting mod of choice. Goes great with FXAA post-process injector. Just ran into a few breathtaking scenes, and I've been using this mod from day 1.

Thanks for the time and effort, it really makes this awesome game all the more worthwhile.

Do you have the Immersive Interiors ELFX Enhancer Patch installed and loaded after Enhancer?

Ive looked around a bit on the description section and in the read me, but I was curious if there is a "default" brightness setting (from the ingame menu) that this is supposed/recommended to be used at? I remember watching a video where Gopher talked about this mod and he said something about the brightness supposed to be all the way down,is that correct or did i remember/hear wrong?

In response to post #10133846.

I use the default brightness in the mod development, so it's up to the player I guess.

I will focus on patches after mod everything, there isn't much places left to mod. =)
