I sat at the bar in the Bee and Barb with my best friend, nipping a Cliff Racer away. “So tell me”, he said, “What happened next?”
“Well, I find myself outside of the Thalmor embassy, in a pitch-black night, in the middle of a howling blizzard with limited gear and completely lost. My helper could only smuggle a small bag of my belongings into the embassy, and now I’m paying the prize: no warm clothing, no tent, no axe and no fire wood. I have only minutes before freezing to death.
“The first thing I do is cast Umbral Vision. This gives me night-sight. I see a path sloping down a snowy mountain and start running. The path doesn’t take me to Solitude however: suddenly I see the icy west coast. This is completely wrong. I’m already chilled to the bones and have absolutely no time to run back and make it to Solitude. Desperately I look around and spot a cave. I recognize it: just a day before I cleared it in order to kill a prisoner who luckily escaped his interrogation by the headsman of Solitude. So I slip in.
“But it’s not the same cave! Three Hagravens start tossing fireballs at me. I raise my Dragon Shield, summon a Ghostly Troll as a distraction, raise my Ward for extra protection and start pelting them with Spectral Arrows. Soon the first one falls, the second one is smashed by the troll and when the troll vanishes in a sheet of flames, unable to suck so many fireballs, I take down the last hag. It seems I have a warm place to sleep anyway!”
“Quick thinking, but one thing escapes me.” He said. “Why not conjure a Flame Atronach? Those thingies are immune to fire, not?” I nodded. “Like I said, I wanted a distraction. A Flame Atronach hiding behind me, tossing a fire bolt once in a while is an annoyance. A regenerating troll smashing its claws in your face, is not.”

Well played! you maybe should upload some gameplay, you'd do it well.
I'm also waiting to 1.6 for playing skyrim again, at the moment I'm putting my time on university tasks. I've been thinking in two new characters to play, they would probably kill each other if they met. A nord and a breton. One seeks to help his people and glory, the other one, knowledge and power... I'll post about them when I have a moment

Great stuff! If I ever find time to start a project I wanted to do since Shivering Isles (Work Title: Return to the Isles - At Sanitie's Edge, another episode of a hero discovering the realm of madness; Hell, I'd love to voice Sheogorath
), I'll ask you if you want to help me writing the plot
Unfortunately, I guess the time required for something like that is enormous... Would require like a dozen people at least, and at least a few years of work, I guess

Xarrian and Ogerboss, which type of character you play?

Actually, I haven't really played Skyrim in the past 9 months - I just don't have the time for that
Generally, I tend to play full mages, generally humans or half-elves, following the philosophy "Mind over body" - preferably, I choose spells that are more subtle if the game allows to do that, only using brute force if necessary, and focus and attributes like Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma.
From the RP aspect, I tend to play very modest characters. In D&D, my characters end up being followers of Oghma, an absolutely Neutral God who doesn't really care about morality. He is associated with knowledge, art, philosophy, magic and journey, and his "priests" are mostly mages and scholars, maintaining entire fortresses filled with volumes upon volums of books, among which are the rarest of the world. My characters are very minimalistic in character, are very curious and eager to learn as much as possible, just because they find joy in doing so. Although they tend to be Nihilits, they are not really evil, but just neutral, though they tend towards helping those they deem worthy of their help. In general, they have a pretty messed up backstory, which explains why they do not find much interest in worldy possession and abstain from most hedonistic actions (and have a very dark sense of humor). They enjoy being on their own, and do not frequent places with large amounts of people, rather enjoying being alone most of the time, which is way they travel in groups only if it seems necessary, or if they find someone particularily interesting. Often, they try to extend their life-span, not because they are afraid of death, but because they want to experience and understand the world as much as possible.
A character I intend to play once I am somewhat less busy:
Name: Nathaniel Xarrian Leyensbane
Race : Breton
Class : Wizard (Focuses on Illusion, but is quite adapt in all spell schools)
Alignment: Neutral
Religion: Tends towards not interfering with either the Daedra or the Divines if not forced to
Origin: Highrock, Daggerfall
Father: Ragnar Hammer-Fist (Nord), an Aristocrate from Skyrim, current whereabouts unknown
Mother: Kyra Valeria Leyensbane of Daggerfall (Breton), Wizard, died by the hand of a Dark Brotherhood Assassin one year ago
Brothers & Sisters: Lara, Sigfried & Corwyn Leyensbane, died by the hand of a Dark Brotherhood Assassin one year ago
Long-Loved Mistress: Xandria Stormcrown, daughter of a simple librarian and a waitress, she and Nathaniel became friends when they were still small children, when her father took her on a run when delivering books, scrolls and other obscure writings to Nathaniel's mother. Since then, they were unseperable, and when they reached adulthood, they assured each other that they would spend the rest of their days together. She died when an Assassin of the Dark Brotherhood mistook her for one of Nathaniels Sisters one year ago.
Age: 22
Color of Skin: White
Hair: Dark Brown, rather long & open, very short beard
Color of Eyes: Dark Brown
Special Features: Rather small frame, a bit smaller than average, many scars on his torso, very thin, rather weak for a man; very intelligenz and patient, modest, minimalistic, almost photographic memory, curious
Affiliations: College of Winterhold, former Members of the Mages Guild in Daggerfall
Favourite Colors: Grey, Black
Favourite Food : Apples, Raspberries, Potatoes
Favourite Drink : Water, Tea, Fruit Juices
Interests: The Arcane Arts, Philosophy, History, Alchemy, and pretty much every other "science", Exploring the realms that lie beyond Mundus; especially interested in the realms of Sheogorath, Haermaeus Mora and Azura
Special "Ticks": Tends to get lost in his own thoughts; very dark sense of humor, is haunted by nightmares about how he lost his family and his past
Languages: Common, Imperial, Jel
What he likes: Reading, thinking, taking a walk, studying, playing chess (or whatever similar game there is in TES
), cold temperatures, snow & ice, wind, lightning, mountains
What he dislikes: Physical Confrontations, Drugs, Alcohol, radical Hedonism, Irrational Thinking, the open sea, hot temperatures, excessive wealth, games that are mostly based on chance, Sleeping
Other special features: Arachnophobia, hates the Dark Brotherhood and those who make pacts with them; once, he was practicing his spell casting until late at night, and planned to try a few spells on a scamp he wanted to conjure with the help of a scroll - but when he used the scroll, not a scamp was conjured, but a Xivilai. The beast stared at the helpless Novice, who was overwhelmed by the sheer power the scroll had unleashed, falling into unconsciousness, then cast an Invisibility Spell and was not seen again. One day later, two dozen people, men, women and children alike, were found throughout the city with their hearts torn out, although no one knew what had happened. Since then, Nathaniel blames himself for what has happened; although he's sure the scroll he placed on his desk was only a minor one, not something he wasn't able to control. He has a theory that his father was drunk again, and wanted to dispose his own flesh and blood, who never really could meet his utopic standards, by replacing the scrolls his son practiced with...; accuses his father of having started a feude with another mighty family by having an affair with an important member of that family which Nathaniel thinks is related to the Assassin who brutally slaughtered the rest of his family one year ago, since then, he left Highrock in search for his father; rumors say he left the familie's mansion just one day before the attack and since then was seen throughout the country; with Skyrim being the last of his known whereabouts.

Very cool
I almost always play characters who both ranger and warrior, like an adventurer on his own. The last one I was playing was Beowulf (
), who was like this. I really like him, but the game got too buggy by the mod testing and I decided to start again. Now I'm just waiting for Requiem 1.6 to start again and while I wait I'm searching for all the mods I may like to avoid putting more of them in my list during the game. I mainly use retexture and bug fixing mods, but I really like some immersion too, and for that I use footsteps, frostfall, realistic needs and diseases, wet and cold, real shelter and guard dialogue overhaul
.
Now that I will start again, I will not play this type of character, because yet I like it very much I've been playing like that for a long time. So I'm thinking of starting a mage too. That's how he should be:
Name: Eddar
Race: Breton
Class: Mage/priest - Don't focus on one school of magic, but studies them all
Alignment: Neutral good
Religion: follows the Divines and is devoted to Stendarr and Julianos
Origin: Daggerfall, Northpoint
Eddar is a breton from High Rock who never knew his parents. He was raised with help of priests of Stendarr from Northpoint, especially an old one named Jeod. Eddar was a happy child who liked to play in the streets with dogs and other kids, although from time to time he got sad by not knowing his family and his origins. Jeod was also a breton and the only one Eddar had a family bond with. He used to teach Eddar little spells and alchemy. From him, the little boy learned how to conjure a wolf for his protection, to heal himself and to use ice as a power source. When he was 16, Jeod died assassinated by daedra cultists in a journey to Daggerfall to trade books. When that happened, Eddar decided to leave the province to forget what happened. He decided to start a new life. He told the Stendarr priests he was leaving Northpoint to seek meaning to his life, as becoming a former priest himself seemed too painful with all his memories. He then began to life as simple and modest as he could, travelling from city to city, living of his magic, which he taught for the civilians for food and books. When he was in Bruma, he heard Skyrim was going throught a civil war and he then thought that this maybe could be his opportunity to discover some meaning in his life. Maybe fighting for the imperials was a great purpose. To fight for the people of Tamriel to stay united was meaningful to him. But then, when arriving Skyrim, he was arrested with some rebels. He saw the horror the Empire was doing in the province, for he almost was executed for no reason, if wasn't for a dragon...
Age: 20
Physical description: white skin, average body, brown short hair, long beard, blue eyes.
Favorite colors: beige, white
General description: a very patient and smart man, modest and lonely - he almost ever travel alone. Also, he has a good sense of humor and likes to have friendships, and is interested in history, magics and philosophy. He also likes to pratice martial arts when he has the opportunity to do so, research about alchemy and travel by the mountains feeling the wind. He doesn't like drugs and drink alcohol only in very special situations. He helps the poor and heal the sick, for he values justice, mercy and wisdom above all.
About civil war: he is completely neutral
Favorite vestments: monk robes
Sorry for the bad english and the yet no finished description
. Oh, I would also like to make a request: could you implement enchanted mok robes? That'd be great

Wow good job on being detailed mine probably won't be as good but i'm going to put it up anyway i have been playing this character for a bit all I have done is clear bleak falls barrow and embershard mine
Name:Zedrick Vex
race:imperial
Background: when he was 3 he was at home (which is in the wilderness of cyrodil) with his family when he heard his dad yell for him to get under his bed and be silent. So he did his dad and his brother both got weapons and waited at the door. Then the door opened and a necromancer came in and killed everyone slowly and he saw all of it. ever since then he could never forget that night and has hated any and all undead and necromancers. after then he grew up on the streets never stealing but still making it along. Then one day the local thugs got a bit too aggressive to the local shopkeepers by beating them so Zedrick grabbed a dagger and plunged it in their necks and ran. So he went to skyrim to hide.
personality: ever since that night he has been quiet only speaking when absolutely necessary. He always travels alone and hates thieves pickpockets, assassins and anyone in general who prays on the weak. He loves knowledge and reads anything he can and is eager to learn. Although he hates evil he isn't pure himself he himself kills evildoers the most brutal and painful way possible sometimes desecrating their corpse.
Quirks: He tends to overindulge as a result of being poor most of his life, he usually either has dark fantasies of torturing the person that killed his family or has a nightmare about it, and he is horrendous at managing his money and tends not to trust anyone and as a result of that he tries to craft his own gear and create his own potions
Playstyle: spellsword/paladin he plans on using mostly destruction magic and maybe conjuring a bit starting with his old family dog though he is tempted to try darker creations beyond the atronach and ghostly creatures
Wears: light armor or robes
he hates:necromancers and undead, bandits, thieves, assassins and rabbits
Later on in the rp i was thinking of making him fall or in other words turn evil probably at a failure or a death of someone he managed to trust a bit
this was probably bad but I don't really care
